My Ebay seller had to pull their listings (same ad, same items listed under multiple accounts), but the transaction had already completed and the item was marked as shipped. They still have other items listed, and have a perfect seller score and have been a seller since 2012. But still a bit concerned until the tracking shows more than "label created."

The seller only has ecig items listed, so I don't know if this was because of that and Ebay policy, or because of the multiple listings or something unrelated.

Hopefully I'll receive my ipv Mini.

I got mine in this afternoon. First impression is....if this is a mini, what the hell would a MAXI look like. lol Anyway, I threw a fresh battery in,made sure it was set to dc-dc, and fired it up with my nautilus. Flavor and vapor production was good, probably better than the MVP2 or Istick all set at 11 watts. About 13-14 is all the Nautilus seems to like. tank sat good and flush, and ohms read the same on all 3 devices. I also put my nimbus built in single coil mode at 1 ohm, and it is sittin just a scant bit off the connector, but not enough to bother me at all. I tried it at 25 watts, and that was a little much for me to handle, but 15 or so seems to be the sweet spot for it. Like others have said, the color is more gunmetal grey than black, but I likes it. :) Heavy little booger for sure. So far so good for me.

It is in the Manual....................and this is kind of big to be Pant pocketing.

Pssst.....Happy to see........

You might want to check/test. With my Kayfun installed and properly secured my unit will NOT FIRE when switched to Mobile.
This could also be Load seen - My build is .5ohm
I can also screw the Kayfun on while in Mobile Mode with no reaction.

Edit: Okay, verified 5.17v out with Kayfun detached in Mobile Mode - All is good.:)

Edit 2: Vaping Shozza :lol::lol:: Thank goodness I make up my own mind.
Surprised - My Orchid at 25w on the Mini makes that Kanger look like a ce5 in performance.
Disappointing as I had my eye on the Subtank for the Wife to use on the spare. Maybe in full build mode...hmm

*tested again. This time with Omega dripper .4ohm - no firing in mobile mode.

I DO acknowledge His Has an issue that may or may not be wide spread.

Mine fired when switching to mobile mode. I sent it back. My new one has been shipped out. Whether it is a defect or not, I wasn't happy with it happening. S'all that really matters to me. *shrug*

The package is moving, so I am relieved and should have mine by Christmas.

As far as the dire WARNING: it is a function of the board. If you watch the P4U demo videos, they attach the mobile charging adapter, sold separately (like the one that came with the ZMAX V5 kit), which attaches to the 510. That's how it is suppose to work. But with the adapter.

I have noticed 3 things from 2 reviewers reporting this happening.
1) Each unit was Silver
2) Each was topped with an Aspire Atlantis.
3) Each did something that should not be done.

While I find it unlikely, pocket switching will occur, I do Agree with turning it off for safety. This will also prevent unintended firing by pinching the fire button(Aha!) another good reason. I also recommend locking Mechanical mods. It is just smart safe practice.

Hopefully P4U will address this and advise on actions needed to correct.

Maybe this is even limited to the early Silver rush to release. Who Knows.

Mine was black. And the unit should be kicking in the overload protection if the atty is on and not firing until you shut it off. Firing, in my opinion, is fine. Firing non-stop requiring manual intervention is not. Further, if this was a designed feature, shouldn't it be operating that way for ALL the devices that came off the line regardless of color? Inconsistent implementation as reported by multiple and varied user not to mention no questions asked on accepting my return, would imply the behavior was not specifically designed to be that way.

Got my IPV Mini (silver) and Atlantis today. At 30 watts the Mini seems to be a bit of a battery(Sony) hog and the Atlantis is certainly a juice hog but, no worries, it's a nice vape and the Atlantis is convenient. I like the set up.....we'll see how they both hold up as I...... put them both thru HELLLLL!!!!! Mwahaha......Mwahahahahahahahaa!!!!!

I was not talking so much to Color as to Production time/date. It is not uncommon to make what is called running changes during production. This could be a part(chip/board change/etc.) or an update in firmware.
Even two unite built a.m./p.m. could be different.
A Major recognized flaw could stop production all together until corrected.
Joyetech replaced over 5000 eVic control heads due to a design defect that could cause delayed firing.
They are however one of the most reputable suppliers in our niche.

I don't think anyone here is disagreeing with YOU, just reporting or explaining their experiences.:)

That is not a defect thats by design. In mobile mode it is supposed to send current to the 510 continuously because it assumes that you have the mobile usb adapter on there and you are not going to hold the fire button down to charge another device. I watched shozza's review of the ipv mini and he made too big of an issue over this feature, claiming that if you were used to a dna30 device you would activate this mode thinking you were locking the settings. Simple solution, familiarize yourself with your device. Read the manual. This is a general comment not directed at the person whom i quoted above. I just used their message for reference.

Mobile mode is a stupid feature to begin with. Who's really going to charge a mobile device with a mod? I guess it could work in a pinch, but who really lets their phone battery run all the way down? I just throw my phone on the charger every other night no matter what the battery level. And what the above poster said, this is probably the design. It's not meant to have an atty on it when in mobile mode.
