[FONT=Helvetica, Arial, lucida grande, tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif]I bought a IPV2S from E Ciggity but they goofed up and sent me a IPV2X. Not really a big deal since the buttons are better etc but I really wanted the 2S so I could upgrade to 70 watts. Does anybody know or tried to use the 2S upgrade on the 2X? I know they are the same chips but very curious.[/FONT]

I'm going to guess P4Y has killed the ability to upgrade the firmware. My guess is the upgrade would simply fail... that would be best case. Worst case would be bricking it. If the 70W thing is a big deal simply return it.
Which battery are you intending to use? 70W with a single 18650 is pushing a 20A cell past its continuous drain rate once battery voltage drops below ~3.8V.

Agree with inswva. If you need 70W you're better off with a 2 battery box. sigelei 100W or 150W or ipv3.
Haven't gone above 50w yet on my 2S but I love the fact that I can charge mine from USB. Would a 2 battery box really be that much better?
