No, I was going to update it yesterday, but I was searching on forums about it to see if anyone had any issues afterwards and had second thoughts. Went to my local vape shop as well as did my own research and I believe that the update only allows you to go up to 200w and has nothing to do with TC.
Besides, I personally don't need the 200 watts….yet.
To answer your question, it is not firmware related. But don't be discouraged either, I love this thing
