Does anyone have any idea on the timeframe for the update? I understand it should either be getting a 120-150-watt upgrade at some point in the foreseeable future. Do we have any real details on this? Will it be sooner rather than later? Will it be 120 watts or 150 watts?

No one yet knows I'm assuming? We could also discuss features you expect to be in a firmware upgrade.
100 watts seems plenty for TC vaping.
The only reason I could see going to a higher wattage would be for Kanthal wire coils.
Did you check the Yihi website in the "Download" section. That's where you'll find the updates for their chipsets.
There are no updates yet for the SX330 V3S chipset. Latest is for the SX350J chipsets dated May 30th.

The chipset in the ipv4 is the SX330V4S. I don't believe there is another update for it currently. Yeah the update I'm inquiring about would be for power mode and not joules mode. There would be no reason to get anywhere near 100w for TC in my opinion.
Pioneer4You has released the IPV4S, a 120 watt upgraded model that is capable of Ti and Ni settings. It looks like P4Y has a firmware upgrade on their site now!
