As someone who has both the ipv4 and ipv3 li, I prefer the ipv3 li other than that there are currently no silicone sleeves designed for it or its predecessor ipv3, which leaves the mod slippery and unprotected. Picked up a jwrap for it, so once that comes it should be better. Love the solid build and metal casing, feels better-built than the all-plastic ipv4.

I just ordered the IPV3 Li and have been googling for a case, besides alibaba this is what I could find.

I know some folks that have the 3. They don't use it because RDA's with big airflow tend to pop a lil out the sides and the juice burns their fangers.
So wait - the ipv 4/4s is only 20mm deep? Why would they do that?

For those you that have one, do your standard 22mm attys hang over?

Pretty sure I know the answer to this question :pervy:

EDIT: Never mind, I'm a dummy haha

I was talking about the lil touch sensor on the top of the 3. It let's you fire it by just touching your finger to a plastic sensor on the top. The 4 is just over 22mm wide at the 510 connection. Al your toppers will fit it just fine.

To those of you who have the IPV4S I'm not sure if this is correct but a few sites claim or imply that the IPV4S retained the USB charge functionality? Is this true?

While being able to swap batteries is a bonus I rarely do if I can just plug the mod into a usb cable and charge it overnight.

The USB charge feature might be enough to push the IPV4S higher on the consideration list for me. (then again I'm actually considering a 'boxer mod' is also in the running)

I just got an ipv3 liVR. It's pretty damn good, big, but solid. Does tc with nickel and titanium. Works amazing with my morph tank and atlantis nickel bvc coil heads. I tried making my own nickel builds but alas.. I have much more to learn about nickel building.

I thought about getting the ipv4 but honestly.. I don't like the way it looks OR the battery door. I've heard the newer version got rid of the charging port, that's good imo. I think most of us just use charging bays anyways. So I just went with the ipv3 liVR.

I only wonder if there will be an joule upgrade for the liVR version. It does 50 joules max, which is still pretty good, but of course I just want more lol. It looks pretty good and the carbon fiber finishy thingy feels really good and grippy.

I went from trying to quit traditional cigarettes to spending heaps of cash on e cig mods and building coils lol. I got 100 ft of 32g 30g 28g 26g 24g and 22g kanthal. I DID have 10ft of nickel but it's down to about 2.5ft from failing nickel builds.

Greetings..... I dropped by one of the local vape shops yesterday and was able to hold the: IPV3LiVR, IPV4S and Segelei TC150 in my hands.

I did not like the 'boxyness' of the LiVR so it was out of the running. I was leaning towards the TC150 however the lack of Titanium support out of the box and the bonus %battery level seemingly only working in VOLT/WATT mode (which I'll never use) allowed the purchasing decision go to the IPV4S.

I did like the build quality of the LiVR and TC150 (with the TC150 being the best of the three) and will reconsider the TC150 after Sigelei releases a Titanium update. The TC150 felt good in the hand without the silicone cover.

Coming from a SXminiM the YiHi chip in the IPV4S seems rather 'dumbed down' with no overdrive heat up settings and the seemingly inability to save changes to the preset Joules memory settings. A bump up to the 30J preset seems to work well with my larger tanks. My Nautilus tanks outfitted with VS coils worked well with an adjusted 15J.

I'm currently testing the IPV4S with two new LG HG2's and expecting to be able to vape 1.5-2 Lemo2 tankfuls on a charge. :)

I have both the ipv4 and ipv3 li with the current updates. honestly i love them both. i like the 4 for titanium because it'll do 120J vs the Li's 100J.

the battery life of both with HG2's seem equal and the TC vape experience is identical.

the deciding factors imo are the physical shape and the wattage in power mode.

both are excellent mods and either one will serve you wonderfully

can confirm that now. I have both (ipv4s and ipv3li) and both are great. Software feels identical. The only difference is 200W vs. 120W. The physical shape is a lot better in my option at the ipv4s. Especially the ipv4s in black looks great and machining is really good on mine. Everything sits perfect.

I use the touch sensor on my ipv3li a lot. In standby, a short click on the power button is enough and the touch is activated. The screen does not wake up on a click, only when it starts to fire or when you push it again.

again, both are great, but from an ergonomical side, go for the 4s! The 4s is a steal below 60, and i was lucky to get the 3li for $45 at gearbest at a special offer.
