Yo guys

I'm really new to all these sub-ohm stuff and I recently got a TFV4 tank.

So i'm currently using the TF-T3 triple coil, and it's stated that it's able to run from 40-140w.
So I started off with 40w. Good cloud, good taste, however after 3-4 hits the tank starts heating up incredibly fast.

Is it normal for it to be that hot? Can I continue vaping/ do i have to stop?

--

Another issue I have is with this power hungry tank, I actually drained 6 batteries in 1 hour of smoking @ 40w with the TFv4. Am i doing something wrong again?

The heating is normal.. normally I pull 6 to 8 hits and I let it cool down before I vape again .. it gets really hot. But do not happen with RBA ..

Okay 6 batt in 1 hour is really crazy.. I'm doing 60 to 70 W. My low end batt 2 pcs last at least 3 to 4 hours. And my LG batt last 8 to 9 hours. ..

well I'm using the smok x cube 2.. so the mod n the batt make could make the difference.. but man..6 batts in 1 hour.. That's bad.

Lemme see.. are those the batteries you got free with the mod? Pink? If so, pls stop using those immediately. Those are ICR batteries and are not designed to run the 0.2 ohm triple coils of the TFV4. Get yourself some samsung 25Rs or Sony VTCs. Or even LG HG4s. The amperage draw of the freebie batteries will struggle to power such sub-ohm coils.

As for the tank itself, yes usage of the multi-coil OCCs will cause heat build-up very fast. Solution? like what has been mentioned above, or use a heat sink.

The RBA deck is a godsend, but is a real b*tch to put together i know. It's hit-and-miss in all its glory. Do it good, and you get vape straight from Heaven. Do it bad, you won't even get to vape.

Be patient and experiment. We're here to offer whatever help we can. Just don't ask the usual forbidden questions and kena, "How many times must we repeat." Cracks me up every time hahahaaaahahaahahahaha

well i switched to RBA, using the stock coil they provided. perfect at 20w but still abit airy, although flavour and vapour is extremely good and have never seen any tank with the same results at 20 wattage.

Seen a few websites saying they ran it at 30-40 watts and no issues, however i tried 30 w like 5 minutes ago and i got this terrible dry hit

Maybe next time its best to check every few min after chain vaping if its hot. Possibility fast battery drainage is due to the tremendous heat

Whats resistance?!......................
You can try increasing your wattage above 40watts. The sizzling sound is just common for all/most rbas

Sorry. Im still v new :/ no friends ard to teach me. Yea, i uds the sizzling sound. Only question i have in mind is, coz only 40 wts above i got nice smke and taste.. anything below 40 gives me v v v lil vapor ..
