Smok TFV4 Leaking

Hi guys,

I just got my smok TFV4 recently, when I try to fill the tank with my RBA in the tank, its start to leak from the air flow holes at the base.

Do anyone know with is the problem?

Try tighten up the tank first if fail.
Open the rba section wipe down below it and make sure all just tighten up then vape.

Check the o-ring on the deck and also your wicking.

Yes I had issues with the O-ring on the RBA. On cursory inspection after tightening I realised it had gone out of place, possibly due to overtightening.

Yes. The o-ring will kink if you tighten too much. So long the mod can sense and read the resistance, that's good enough. If it's not, put a drop of your juice to lube it.

Having the same prob. Filled up my juice only to see it leaked at the lower air holes emptying the tank! .......! Huge regret big mistake! And even if it didn't leak that much (confirm leakage)it spit juice into mouth like spraying breath spray!

I never had any problem with leaking or spitting since day 1. Check the o-ring and make wick is not touching the airflow holes.

also do try to close airflow when filling with top fill to maintain pressure.

It's almost always the wick fault haha. My goblin mini (known to be leaky if wicked wrongly) now never leak after using the right amount of cotton

Ok.... so i was getting super ...... at this TFV4 because it was leaking like a SOB .... turns out i cracked my tank lol..... replaced the glass and slapped a new coil in and it was leaking again.....WTF...... so after looking a little closer at it.... its not an issue with the tank itself....LOOK AT YOUR COILS.....they come with an o-ring installed on them. After comparing the coil with some ones still in the packaging.... the o ring is suppose to be above the threads....not below. I even spotted another brand new coil (in package)... with the the o ring in the wrong position. Slap that bad boy above the threads and your air hole leaking issue is solved.

My friend complained that his TFV4 was leaking, no matter which method he tried. I asked him to show me how he fill. He poured his juice into the chimney exit....

Some users suggested the following (Assuming your wicking is not the cause of the leaking):
1) Screw the RBD/Coil to the top first, instead of the bottom first.
2) Always close the air hole when filling
3) Take a puff with air hole closed first after refill to create negative pressure in the tank.

Grimm Green had big problems with TFV4 leaking all over.
Enough to let me know I don't want one if he had problems with it leaking.
In one of his vids yesterday he did say that he had finally got it working ok.

He did however like the TFV4 mini.
