My second was delivered today and I threw an NI coil on it right away.

It metered at .15 and when I put it on the device and set it up it came in at .15 ohms. Let's hope that streak continues.

I have it set up at 33 watts and 405° and the vape is very nice and consistent. I've vaped through 3/4's of a tank and the device has been solid.

jstrong, those battery rings are supposed to be a safety feature much like the reuleaux to keep the batteries solidly in place.
Already got rid of my IPV5. If it's anything like the Reuleaux I didn't feel like chewing up battery wrappers.

Yep the DNA Reuleaux has the same rings. They haven't presented any issues for me.....yet.

i pull the battery down towards the negative contact, to make a gap between the batt and + contact of the sled, before attempting to pull the battery straight out. but i seldom pull the batts out. i always just use evolv's balance charger.

Really? Failed at every delivery and every mod? The only mods that had issues were the IPV4 and the IPV D2. Every other IPV mod I've seen, used, owned has been relatively solid. And the IPV5 is no exception. I have my silver on in hand and it works fine. Really good mod. Probably the best one they've made to date. Makes an excellent backup to my Reuleaux DNA 200.

Cool. Yea I embellished. My ipv4s is okay. Acts janky in TC mode. Ipv2 was a good release. They just have no customer service and no firmware upgrades is all. Glad your stuff is doing well.

I am vaping my old ipv1 right now. The very first release of the ipv1 and 2 were janky, but mine is the revised one. Its been a good solid mod for me. My only real dislike is the screws on the battery door, but that was normal when those came out. I like my ipv d2 also. I've skipped out on other ipvs, but am expecting this 5 (whenever USPS manages to get it here unless they lost it).

Right behind you...
Semi-local vape shop (Mountain Oak Vapors in Oveido FL) had them in stock when I was there yesterday. Solid-feeling device, not as hideous as the IPV4, not as boxy as the IPV3/2/1, and the SX 330-200 looks like a solid board with most of the features of the 350J. Still too damn big for me though.

vapnfagan has a first look out on the device and he didn't have a manual tcr feature in his menu on the ipv5........is this feature a firmware upgrade?

edit.......his ipv5 DOES have a manual TCR feature. he just didn't show it in his first look.

Mine had it out of the box.

Both of my IPV 5's so far are performing flawlessly.

I've got the IPV 50W from 7/13/14 running great
2 30W
2 IPV D2's
2 IPV D5's
IPV 4 (ugly but still doing it's job but I always pull the batteries for charging

I take care of my devices and I guess I'm lucky but P4U have been a reliable device with a decent price point. And other than the screws on the IPV 50W that thing has been a friggin workhorse.

Got my self 2 unit. Blue color. However one of em the battery door shakes/rattles a lot :(
The other one seems fine tho.

Update: Fixed the door using Faber Castell Tack It gum. I'll look for a better solution. At least it doesnt shake or rattle when i grip it now

Inexcusable that P4U cannot get this right after all the iterations. I have an ipv4s that has been flawless. I rarely vape in TC mode though. The door is adjustable to remove any play in it.
