Priggster two things. Go back a page or two. I opened mine after the battery door broke off on it. The USB is only wired for 5v and ground. It's lack of upgrades isn't unknown. It can't be FW updated. Second you are preaching to the choir as a person who also got a Sig 213 very early in the process of finding its faults. I can sometimes feel my blood boiling when people defend and suggest the 213 to newbs. It's truly a ....ty device from a ....ty company and has a single saving grace in its feeling. But that isn't enough to consider it a good device and certainly not good enough to suggest it to anyone.

They are a world away and don't care. Their thought is "stupid Westerners ,all we need is a good pot to cook in and food on the table for my family" seriously people. We keep paying for them.they're gonna make it. why put an upgrade on something when a newer one is just around the corner (even w new U.S regs)

Hi @Topweasel ...
Yeah, I saw them pictures and thank you so much for taking it apart to show us! And you are right, I got the 213 on pre-sale as well. The IPV6x only because of the faulty 213.
Why are these companies lying?
It is a shame since all the vendors I looked at are advertising this mod as firmware upgradeable. All of them!!
I really don't know where they get these informations from the whole time. I mean, they must get a sheet of paper from companies where it says what new mod coming out and what the specs are, right? How else would they know what to put next on pre-sale?

I know, people say "hey dude, don't get stuff on presale, just wait for reviews." But listen.. what's the point when you get reviews on a product 2 or 3 weeks before AND after it hits the market and all the reviews are good. They are like "look at this new mod from (whatever), it stunning and amazing looking and it works perfect."
I saw some reviews on IPV6x before AND after it hit the market and all of them praised this mod. No one said anything about the TCR problem or RPP at this time. Feck them! That's not a review that a little glimpse on how to put an Atty on top and how the display lights up to show some digital numbers. Thats not a review, right?
Where are all the good reviewers? I mean, DJslb or DJlsb or so, he does it quite good, with all the taking apart thing and show and tell. But where is his review? He gives us reviews about mods that came out later. (thats what Crankshaft on reddit also mentioned few days ago)
We all can see pictures of him working at the Yihi stand on a vape expo in Paris. Is he not gonna review this mod because he doesn't want to put Yihi in a bad place? I don't know?
Anyway, it wouldn't be Yihi who did wrong here anyway the only one to blame here is fecking P4Y for not recognising the TCR bug in the first place and throw the mod on the market the way it is, without firmware upgradeability!! How stupid!

Fair enough what you said @greenmachine17 about that they just want to put food on the table for the family. I can't complain about this. But it seem like even the local people/shops doing this here as well by just copying the "false" specs sheet. And local "reviewers" even helping them with praising a falsely advertised mod.

Oh man, sorry guys, what a big rant, I got carried away. Haha..

And this goes to all these people who say (about Sig213 or IPV6x) "hey, mine works great, I love that thing, I only use power mode though and not even go above 100 watts"..
Yeah, cool for you, but that's only half the story!

I have the sig213 and IPV6x and I only use power mode but still don't love them, sig213 misfires, which is annoying so sits on the shelf collecting dust, so then got the IPV6x to replace it, but with no way of locking the power up and down buttons, have often changed the power setting by accident and burnt a few coils, so now gone for 3rd time lucky and just got the smok alien, we will see if this one works out.

So basically I am saying the problems aren't just for the TC users, the appearance and size of these mods is awesome, just shame they didn't spend more time making sure they worked properly.

Count me as another one who bought the IPV6 on preorder to replace a P.O.S. Sigelei 213.

The problem with reviews is that most of them can't be trusted. There were plenty of glowing reviews of the former, even a handful of power mode only vapors here on ECF singing the devices praises. None of that fixes the fact that the device is a P.O.S. for a TC mode vapor.

I have a IPV4S that has served me well. Until now the 'flagship' P4U devices have been firmware upgradable so given that P4U likes using YiHi chips (and they usually are reliable) and P4U had a history of upgradeablility I figured my pre-order in May was a safe bet.

While I still love the size and fell of the form factor alas, it appears I'm stuck with a worthless 213 clone. I sent the image posted a few pages back to the vendor I bought from asking for ether a fully functional replacement or an RMA refund. They have not responded back.

Wow and haha @KayP this is a funny mixed up shipping.. I hope crappy Aus Post will still be quicker than Slowtech!

Here a little conclusion for people who don't read the whole threat about the IPV6x

-first batch doesn't have RPP or locking buttons feature

-firmware is NOT upgradable (as far as we know and I've been told by vendor and by rude IPV "Kevin Salesmanager"

-TCR doesn't work (tested myself and confirmed by Yihi SXmini customer service)

-TC kind of works if you crank up the temp more than usually

-Battery door can be a pain in the ... by opening itself with the lightest push

-don't know if it reaches 200 watts, well I can't test it and haven't seen a test yet so let's assume it actually is close to 200. But still need to be confirmed.

So, here you go. Thats what you bargain for! False advertising again and promised features that just don't work.

The funny thing is that I use it as my daily driver anyway as it works good in power mode and I like the form factor. But it's the same fecking SIG213 ..... This is just NOT what I paid for!! And that is actually what really pisses me off! Screw you Sigelei and now screw you P4Y!!

I mean, let say you go to a Burger shop and they say "here get that burger with tomato and bacon on top" but you only get one with just meat and cheese. That's still a burger, right, and it might be even good and you might be happy. But that's just not what you ordered or even paid for! And if this Burger shop keep doing that and don't listen to your complaints then I would never go there again. And will tell other people about this.

And this goes to all these people who say (about Sig213 or IPV6x) "hey, mine works great, I love that thing, I only use power mode though and not even go above 100 watts"..
Yeah, cool for you, but that's only half the story!
I mean if I pay money towards something I want this thing to work exactly how they promised. So, I do feel absolutely ripped off by these 2 companies! Screw them!!
Well said. I feel exactly the same way. You know, when Joytech can get tc and tcr to work perfectly on the very affordable v2 mini, there is no reason p4u and Sigelei can't do the same. But I guess the big picture is the total cost for my 2 ipv6 and my Sigelei 213 is far from a life changing amount of money. I simply will never again buy another Sigelei or P4U product. There are plenty of other choices :)

Didn't Joyetech go under??..seems like the route
Daniel stated that there are 3 versions,no upgrade possible, all seems to be fixed except the TCR which he will give ones that will work in his review, when it goes up.
    The firmware version is 1.5

to go is the DNA chips..double the price but reliable. For all the $ we spent on these duct tape and rubber band devices,we could gotten an expensive one. We have no patience when it comes to the toys..China marketing tactics are ruthless. They Dont care !!! We keep buying ! Pre order is NUTS ! Reviews from who? Ill tell you who. Their marketing guys. Thats who..you Buy a car without driving it or mechanic looking at it? These guys are a world away? What are ya gonna do. Fly over there? They're used car salesmen, like from the 70'&'80s..lol. yet we still keep buying..
Another thing. As I said b4..P4Y probably went the chargable route vs the upgrade to keep up w the complaints about not able to charge and go.. sooooo

Haha @greenmachine17 ... I think thats the point! If we could find a nice DNA200 mod with 2 batteries which has the nice form factor of a IPV6x or sig213 then we probably wouldn't be so mad at these 2 I just mentioned. We would just get the DNA then and everything will be just fine...
Has anybody tried removing the garbage electronic's in either of the above and tried fitting a DNA chip? I have been too lazy to open either of them up to see if it could be made to fit. The case and 510 connectors are ok.

I didn't get a 6 either. But I got the rx200 (junk ) Ipv400w ok if batteries in right (pay attention to putting them in) segelei 213 ok for work.hell had the segelei 150 (drained batteries ) ipv2mini (good but underpowered ) d3 better.(with crap door.stupid spike charger instead of usb)..ipv4s (great ,battery life but not rechargeable ) Cuboid150w (very nice but pain in the ... to adjust under tc) and the Fuchai. .good for work tanks and regular builds not for crazy builds..that's my ball of wax..add it up..there's just always a bit of dissatisfaction w them all..makes you think if manufacturers even listen to their buyers..just keep us wanting more is their plan

Green, curious what problems you are having with your rx200. I have one as well, and it functions fine. Also have 4 evic v2 minis, and a evic vTwo, which I believe are similar to the cuboid electronically, and they are very easy to set for temp control. I use them with 430ss in tcr mode, or sometimes 316l. That said, I am happiest with my DNA200 devices, a reuleaux, which has a soso 510 connector, and a Psyclone Evo, which is flawless in every respect.

strange(er) thing(s) guys! some guy wrote to me on YT about the TCR setting for Ni200 and that, in fact, it is working. So I tested it myself and ohh wonder...TCR with Ni200 is actually working! He also uploaded a video:

Since I only have SS316L (which is still not working with any TCR value) and Ni200 wire would someone be up for to test some other temperature control wire if available? Maybe we can make a little list which wires actually working with TCR.. Or add the info to @jjatl s list..
