IRC server is down

As the title states, IRC server is down. Can not connect via mIRC or mibbit. Tried a few different ports than the standard 6667, same thing.

It's been ages since i've used a proper IRC channel

I didn't even know there WAS an irc server until I saw this topic in the "recent posts" section.... now that I know it's there and I can't get on it i'm fiendishly trying to connect!

You should be able to use the Live Chat link at the top of the forum. This connects via Mibbit. There's an issue with stand alone IRC clients at the moment which they're aware of.

Edit -- Scratch that. Mibbit is borked as well. We'll ping the server guys.

Man I need ECF for dummies and newbies . I can't figure out how to chat with anyone. Only two open threads .Does this work from my iPhone.? Sorry I'm new and don't want to break any rules.'

This chat is live IRC chat only, not the forum threads.

You are able to post in almost any thread now. Just browse on Tapatalk to any thread of interest in any of the sub-forums listed. I see you've posted in a couple now; notice that the thread name typically states the topic. For example, a thread name of Abbreviations wouldn't be the place to talk about buying a Provari. Browse to the sub-forum New Members, and notice all the threads as you scroll, or start a new one introducing yourself.

So the link I posted is Live IRC chat, which does work on Android. I assume it works on iPhone as well, but I haven't personally tested it. There are IRC apps available to use for it as well.
