I have been vaping for over a year, and most of what I purchased was on line from China.
Now I am in China, and very few (actually none) of the Chinese I have met know about ecigs.
I get the normal "what's that" and "where do you get them?" questions that we all get when someone sees us smoking that strange device called an ecig.
I thought all the smokers here would be using them!
It is interesting though that it is definitely a smoking culture here.
At restaurant dinners people offer you cigs as a greeting. There is a whole status thing about how expensive the cigs are that someone carries to give to others. A normal pack of smokes costs about 45 cents. High class smokes (golden pandas are one of the high end brands) are like 20 dollars a pack. And yes, smoking at the dinner table is perfectly acceptable, as well as smoking in the office or any damn place you please.
It's kind of like the TV show madmen but in real life and of course with chinese people.
The ironic thing is that I am running low on stuff, and I will probably end up orderinbg on line from China while being in China. I figured there would be stores and shops carrying them!
