Is 24mg too much?

Howdy everyone, I just got an IPV V2 with an aero tank. I have 24mg in it abd have been playing with the wattage, started from 7 and tried it up to 9. Getting decent clouds, but it burns way more then my ego twist pro tank.

I'm guessing it's just getting used to vaping again, but just wanted opinions. I have so many juices, from post attempts, and donations from buddies. I just don't know the nic levels of my older juice. Does juice go bad? Should I just trash all the old juice and start over?

Also, I was told that with the ipv aero I would only get one juice flavor per coil. Makes it hard to try juices. Guy at shop said I'd have to go rebuildable if I wanted to test juice.

Any thoughts?

Okay, so we've got several questions here...
24mg is low for some people and insanely high for others... that is subjective and depends entirely on how your body reacts to it. It also depends on equipment... If I put 24mg in my RDA that's wicked with rayon, I'd take one hit and be hiccuping well into next week! (hiccups are a symptom of too much nic) So as to is that level too much? Only you can answer that... Even if you just don't like the throat hit from it, you can dial it down by adding some VG...

I've never had a juice go bad... they are kinda like wine and just get better with age. But I've never had a bottle for more than about 6 months...

You can change flavors with the same coil, but it depends on what flavor you're switching from and to... from honeydew melon to vanilla custard, probably okay... from absinthe to a fruit? You're fruit is gonna taste like absinthe...

You can test juice with a disposable dripper...
Just a couple 510 drippers that I found with a quick search:
510 Standard Resistance Dripping Atomizer
Bridgeless 510 Atomizer, 2 ohms

Also, check out The Ocelot's guide to dripping here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/the-ocelot/4005-drip-drip-drip-sound-dripping.html

Hope this helps and welcome to the boards!!

I'll address this question.

True with an aerotank if you don't rinse the tank/coil between flavors. However you are not limited to just using a tank. Here is a great blog post on dripping by ECF member The Ocelot: Drip, Drip, Drip - The Sound of Dripping.

Hi, Wiskyactual . . . Welcome to the ECF boards.

I started at 24mg. The said would be much too much for me, today. The same may hold true for you.

Some juices keep for longer periods than others, it depends. How long have you had these juices?

A dripping atty, also referred to as a RDA, is perfect for tasting different juices.

A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day:

06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes

Your shop owner is biased towards rebuildable drip atomizers; advising a new vaper to purchase a RBA (rebuildable atomizer) is extremely poor advice on his part. There are far more simpler solutions for a beginner. The above 510 drip atomizers or Nano clearomizers can be used for sampling multiple flavors without the need for separate tanks. Google search is your friend, use it.

* I really wish people offering advice would consider to whom they are offering that advice. The vast majority of NEW VAPERS are not ready for rebuildable atomizers (RDA, RBA, etc). Stop recommending them to beginners please.

Your juices will last for a long time if kept dark and cool, like in a closet. Heat and sunshine will surely degrade your juice into a dark, watery, tasteless liquid. As for tasting juices, I agree with the others with cleaning or using some cheap disposable drippers, or learn to build a dripper, then it's super easy to change up flavors.

I don't agree on that table that was posted here... A 40 cig smoker might be less addicted than a 20 cig smoker.. It depends how you smoke used to smoke them.

Practical example:

4 years ago me and a friend decided to switch to vaping. He was a 3 pack smoker and I was at 1.5 pack then.

Curiously, when we switched, our eLiquid consumption was very similar. Some months he even needed less than myself. The only big difference I could see was that I usually picked up my mod every half hour and vaped a bit while he kept his constantly in his mouth like a pacifier without actually firing it all the time. His addiction was more hand mouth related than nicotine itself.

I'd drop the nic level as I'm a firm believer in having better tasting juice. High nic is usually more peppery and harsh. I use lower nic and vape a little more often to satisfy my cravings.

Testing different juices with coil heads is not really possible. Changing to similar flavors is quite alright without changing coil heads. The new flavor will work it's way through after a little while.
For actually sampling or testing, definitely a dripper. Educate yourself on safety before rebuilding if you plan on going the dripping route.
