Is an atomizer for me?

Right now I only use an atomizer to test out juice. I remember using them with a cartridge before cartomizers became as prevalent as they are .. (It's been a while) .. and I still have the atomizers I started out with years ago.

I'm not much of a dripper, only because I found the process a bit frustrating. So what I ask is, is there any other reason, other than testing juice and dripping, for using atomizers? Seems that there has been a renewed interest in them lately, and I'm not sure what it's all about. If atomizers are your thing, why do you prefer them?

There are a lot of reasons, but for me- I got sick and tired of leaking tanks and clearos, or ones that didn't work right, the process of cleaning them....etc. I find dripping to be much less hassle.

There is also a lot more "purity" to juice flavors, IMO. I found that with anything else, the flavors were much more muted, and/or I could taste the "filler".

It's also quick and easy to change flavors whenever I want.

I also seem to use less juice than I did before. I found that there was so much juice that I wasn't able to vape that was stick in a tank, clearo, carto....I am sure it wasn't a ton, but it still bugged me when every penny counted in my budget!

Those are just my reasons of course, but I have seen the same ones repeated from other drippers as well.

ETA- I just realized that wasn't your question :) oops! oh well! Guess I will tell ya why I drip anyway ;-)

I agree, I too find it fustrating when using cleaos. I think I may get into dripping soon, and use tank atomizers and drip atomizers instead of clearomizers.

I was never a flavor snob before vaping as much as now.It can be a royal pain(almost worst that sitting thru someone else's wedding ) to use an atty.If any thing other that using an attty works for you by all means consider yourself lucky. The day will come hopefully that something overtakes my want to only use an atty, its hasnt happened yet.

I had a question, say if I were to get a drip atty what kind would produce a cool vapor ? I don't like the warm vapor that much at all. To me my flavors taste better on a device that produces cool vapor. I have an EGO battery VV and I also have 510 batteries so if I were to get an atty for each what kinds would be good ? I also would like to put a drip tips on them, so I could carry a bottle of juice and drip when I need to.

On your VV, it doesn't matter. Just lower the voltage. For a standard 3.7v battery a 2.5-3.0 ohm atty produces a cooler vape.
You can use your VV to feel it out. The end results is what wattage you prefer. Your voltage + your ohms gets you your wattage. If you take an atty that you know what ohms it is, put it on your VV and find the best vape. Look at what voltage your VV is at. Then use this calculator. Plug in the voltage and the ohms of your carto. The end result is your sweet spot. Electrical & Electronics, Ohm's Law, Formulas & Equations Memorize that number.

Then, if you know your regular battery is 3.7 volts, play with the numbers from the ohm section until you get your "sweet spot" as a result. Then order an atty as close to the ohms as possible.

Or the short answer is simple and sweet. Order a 2.5 and 3.0 ohm atty and see which you like better. Just stay away from LR attys if you like a cool vape.

I'm just old school and never switched to carts or clears. I don't mind dripping and am well stocked on atomizers. I hesitate learning how to make coils and wicks and measuring ohms, I'm busy enuff keeping my mods going. So, my reason would be laziness and the fact I have so many attys on hand.
