Is an invitation required?

I sent the URL to this forum to a chemist friend who grows a little tobacco so that we could discuss the subject. He joined ECF for the purpose but can't get into this forum.

Is there a special invitation involved? I can't remember having done anything special to be allowed to come here and I don't see anything in "Rules."

He should be able to get here and read it, but until he has five posts he would not be able to post here.

He should beable to read the forum, But he will need some posts in the new member section to post in here. I will post the rules.

0 to 5 posts:
Members are restricted to posting in the New Members Forum only, can not use Private Messaging, and can not have a signature.

5 to 15 posts:
Members can post in other forums and use Private Messaging.

15 posts and above:
Members can post in all forums, and can now have a signature.

This system takes effect as of 4/1/10.

For the rundown of what new accounts need to do:
• He needs to confirm his email address.
• Make sure cookies are allowed for this domain.
• Once logged in: Until he reaches at least 5 posts, he can read all but not post outside of New Members.
• Clearing the browser cache also doesn't hurt.
