I just got 2 boxes of Boge 2.0s in from HHV on Friday. I noticed the filler seemed to be packed way tighter, and the juice just does NOT want to soak into the filler if top-filling the carto. The first one I tried to fill quite literally pooled juice on top of the filler, and it just sat there, not soaking in. Had to shake down the carto to get it to absorb.
I also got a few dry hits after initially filling a few of the cartos. Not filler burning dry, but dry enough to taste off. I was worried it was the dreaded Bacon flavored Boges I've heard about but was lucky enough to avoid. Nope, just filler that was being difficult and not distributing juice as it should.
I generally will fill a carto, and try it out just as a carto for an hour to so just to make sure it won't give me any problems, then I'll punch it and throw it in a tank. By the time I topped off the carto several times it was absorbing juice perfectly, giving me no issues at all.
Now it's sitting in a tank and has been performing and feeding juice perfectly, so (for me at least) the problem seems to go away after you run a bit of juice through it.
Airflow didn't seem any different than any other Boges I've used.
If the carto condoms still matter, the one box I've broken into has the super long condom on the 510 connection end, and a shorter (but still longer than some carto condoms I've come across) one on the other end. No idea if the carto condoms are still a reliable way to tell the difference between different "generation" boge cartos.
