about how bad the switch on the chuck is? Every time someone who doesn't own one gives an opinion they dismiss the chuck because of the cheap looking switch. I think it is time to put that topic to rest.
On my little Chuck the switch fits the look. It feels good in my hand, and activates every time I push it. I have never worried about whether or not it will work, because it just does.
EVERY TIME!!!!
I think I have read about three people who have had broken switches when their Chuck fell wrong. Would this be considered a bad switch? I would think not, but I would like to hear the opinion of those who have had this happen to them.
Do you have to be careful of the switch when you put it in you're pocket? Yes. Is this that much of a drawback? I don't think so. I won't put anything in my pocket that could potentially burn me if activated without taking appropriate measures, so it is a non-issue for me, and I would take those measures no matter what mod I bought.
When I was shopping around for a battery mod I wanted one that I would never have to worry about working when I wanted it to. After reading about all of the different mods I could I decided on the little Chuck because the weak spot on all of the high-end mods seems to be the switch. Anyone can build a tube to put a battery in, but to get the battery to power our devices without fail every time seems to be something of a challenge for most battery mod makers. Except for Jeff. I believe him when he said he did the research on switches. Why?
Because mine works. Period. And it has worked every time I pushed it.
Nuff said.
P.S. I sure took the long way getting to my point, but I feel it needed to be said.
