about how bad the switch on the chuck is? Every time someone who doesn't own one gives an opinion they dismiss the chuck because of the cheap looking switch. I think it is time to put that topic to rest.

On my little Chuck the switch fits the look. It feels good in my hand, and activates every time I push it. I have never worried about whether or not it will work, because it just does.

EVERY TIME!!!!

I think I have read about three people who have had broken switches when their Chuck fell wrong. Would this be considered a bad switch? I would think not, but I would like to hear the opinion of those who have had this happen to them.

Do you have to be careful of the switch when you put it in you're pocket? Yes. Is this that much of a drawback? I don't think so. I won't put anything in my pocket that could potentially burn me if activated without taking appropriate measures, so it is a non-issue for me, and I would take those measures no matter what mod I bought.

When I was shopping around for a battery mod I wanted one that I would never have to worry about working when I wanted it to. After reading about all of the different mods I could I decided on the little Chuck because the weak spot on all of the high-end mods seems to be the switch. Anyone can build a tube to put a battery in, but to get the battery to power our devices without fail every time seems to be something of a challenge for most battery mod makers. Except for Jeff. I believe him when he said he did the research on switches. Why?

Because mine works. Period. And it has worked every time I pushed it.

Nuff said.

P.S. I sure took the long way getting to my point, but I feel it needed to be said.

I hate to admit it, but the switch was the only thing turning me off from ordering a Chuck when I was shopping for a hybrid. It looks a bit cheap in pictures and I thought that with it sticking out as far as it does that it would catch on my pockets and easily activate while sitting in my pocket.

I've had my Chuck about a week and all I can say is that I was definitely wrong. In person, it looks good and is a solid switch that doesn't catch or stick when you depress it like others I've used. The action is impressively smooth and easy to depress and I haven't had it activate once in my pocket. It does occasionally snag a little when putting it in or taking it out of my pocket, but usually only in tighter jeans, plus it never leaves my hand often so that's pretty much a non-issue for me.

Overall, I wouldn't ever want to change the switch as this one works perfectly for its intended purpose.

Agree with both comments and love my Little Chuck, but I would love to see a switch similar in design to the SB--I have no idea how it works or how long it'll last, but that recessed button just looks cool.

I saw in the early "Saturday" threads how Jeff had gone through tons of switches trying to find the best combination of design fit, durability and cost; I defer to his judgement on his selection. Also, I don't think I'd sacrifice functionality for cool--rather have it work than just be a pretty paperweight or worse, not here while it's in for constant repair.

As Jeff has stated before... Find a better switch, and he'll use it. The space requirements and voltage requirements make it tough... scratch that... almost impossible, to find something else that will fit, and will take a minimum of 1.5 amps at 6-8 volts, and look good. Jeff has spent hours looking, I know I have spent hours looking, and there is just not any other viable option found yet.

For me, I think the switch works fine. As stated before, it works EVERY time I press it. If im worried it will be pressed while in my pocket, I rotate the atty a turn.

Most of the switches some people seem to clamor for will not work on the Chuck for aesthetic reasons.
If not for any other technical reasons.

The other switches that some want on the Chuck would simply not work because they are too wide.
They would stick out over the rounded ends of the "much thinner than most mods" Chuck design.

And then, they would look like crap.

When people say something , anything, about a Chuck...ask them which one is thiers....when they say they dont have one, case closed...those who do not have the PLEASURE of owning one, simply just CANNOT know the joys :)

The only bad switch is the one that doesnt work;)

NONE of my Chucks have bad switches:D

The main problem I have with the switch is it's so easy to press. I would like to stick it in my pocked without having to turn the atty. It functions great, but if there was something you could pop onto it to protect it from accidentally getting pressed it would be nice
I hear what you're saying, but wouldn't it be just as easy to turn the atomizer a few turns as it would be to pop something over the switch? I guess what I'm saying is if you don't want to have to turn the atomizer, I'm not sure popping something over the switch is going to help much.

As for me, I wouldn't even want to put any of these bigger devices into my pocket with the atomizer still attached anyway. I don't just turn it a few turns, I remove it altogether. It's a lot more comfortable that way.

I bought the CHuck for my hubby to use at work, (heavy construction) , since the CHuck is supposed to be the most durable mod out there, built tuff, which it is. It vapes beautifully and turned out to be far greater than my highest exceptions. Very rugged/strong.

HOWEVER: First day at work, the switch accidentally got depressed and burned up a brand new atty. What's so wrong with having the option to have a locking switch if you want it, or not. He could charge a little extra for it, it'd sure be worth it for alot of us who are in certain situations where we need it. Would be better than having spent atty's and batteries from something that can easilly be fixed/prevented.

Imagine having a CHuck, with a recessed switch like the one on the Silver Bullet would be bad ***.

It would have to be bigger to have a recessed switch like that.
And I would imagine it would cost quite a bit more to make.

The Chuck is not good for putting in your pocket.
That's pretty much the bottom line.

I suppose you're right. But FWIW, I'd be willing to pay extra to have a locking switch....
