Is anyone else sick of how difficult vaping can appear to be when you first start?

I see so many postings about getting a set up and what works vs. what doesnt, so I thought I would share my 2 cents on what works for me. I am not big into voltage and twisting things, nor do I care about having the "coolest" things on the market. I enjoy vaping, but its not huge focus, just something I want to do instead of smoking. I want my stuff to work when I want to vape, no questions. Here is what I suggest, especially if you are new and want to get started and enjoy your liquid.

First of all, Get some Ego batteries, and a passthrough (allows you to vape while it charges, then get some vivi nova (mini) tanks with some extra atomizer heads. You can clean these out when they dont operate properly, which is a must when you use VG juice, which is what I use because PG gives me a headache and stuffy nose. Next, find some quality juice and ALWAYS stay away from the super dark juices. I dunno what flavors you like, but Johnson's Creek, High Brow, and MtBaker all make some fantastic VG liquids that tend to be thinner. If you want, you can add 2-3 drops of distilled water.

When you clean your tank parts, soak the atomizers in alcohol for 24 hours, since you have extras, this is not an issue. After that, boil the suckers in distilled water to remove the ethanol and impurities. Let them dry, they are ready to reuse for many, many cycles. Keep your battery head terminals clean with qtips and always have back ups read and chraged. The passthrough helps to ensure you can constantly vape.

When you first fill a tank, before you screw onto battery, take a few long sucks to draw up the juice and start the wicking process. This is all you need to do to have a positive vaping experience and to enjoy this whole thing. You dont need fancy mods or batteries, glass heads that tell time and sing you to bed at night, or any of that. Just get some joytech batteries, make 1 a pass through, and some mini nova tanks..................viola.

And one more thing, I dont like the Kagner tanks at all. They have an airy draw that can give you a headache from sucking so hard. They also leak and I have never had luck with them.

I promise if you take my advice, you will enjoy vaping. You dont need expensive "mods" or batteries, or any of that variable voltage stuff. It complicates it all to unnecessary levels and gets confusing. I like to fill, puff, refill, sleep, and then puff again. I dont have time for problems or crap.

What have you all found to be the best intro to vaping equipment? I think if it appears too complicated, it can turn potential vapors off as its easier to just go to the gas station and buy a pack of regular ciggs. When I first got here, I was so confused with all the terms and talk about wattage and voltage. Who has time for it?

Although you make a valid point that we all want an easy, problem-free vaping experience, the fact of the matter is vaping is much harder than smoking a cigarette. We can all agree that it is far too easy to buy a pack, light up a cig, and you are good to go.

 VAPING IS HARD WORK! It takes planning and diligence. One must remember to put spent batteries in their charger or they will not be able to use their battery device. No charged-up batteries means no vaping.

One must plan ahead to ensure that they do not run out of e-juice. No juice, no vaping. One must have an idea of how much they vape a day, to know how long their juice supply will last, and how long it will take for their next online order be delivered.

One must have extra juice delivery devices available in case their primary device unexpectantly dies. We need backups for our backups.

Beginning vapors purchase a single battery and a single juice delivery device and a single bottle of juice and think they have a setup. Well, that "setup" may help them to determine whether vaping can help them to stop smoking; but in no way is that setup adequate if that would-be vapor is serious about making the switch long term.

There's a very good reason why most of us vapors carry a small arsonal of vape gear with us wherever we go. It's to keep from being caught off guard by not having a spare battery when the primary one dies. Or when that juice delivery device dies. It's far too easy to use that as an excuse for buying a pack of cigarettes when something goes wrong. The smart vapor plans ahead so that scenario NEVER happens.

New vapors must be cautioned about the above. There is a small price to pay to make the switch from smoking to vaping in time spent in preparation and planning. But when the hard work pays off to be finally rid of such a nasty and expensive habit it is well worth the price. In fact, its priceless.

fixed voltage ego passthrough and high ohm 306 to drip is what I use. I have an evic, vamo and VMOD XL that I don't even use. I don't even like any tanks. Vivi leaked for me so I have a Kanger T3 on my Vamo for driving once in awhile. I spent alot of money on stuff I don't even use. I shouldn't have listened to anyone that recommends variable voltage stuff. waste of money. I don't want to play games and convince myself that and extra ohm will hit a juices sweet spot. ..... I want it simple like analogs. I know what you mean I don't have time or want to make a hobby of it. I have RBAs I never even tried. I want to vape not play games.

Baditude nailed it - and might I add? Everyone is different. I hate pure VG, and the Kanger tanks (T3 or Pro) are my mainstay. If you want to try out something new once you have your setup with at least two batteries, buy it in the quantity of one. Try it out. You may love it, in which case you can buy more, and you may hate it, in which case you haven't wasted a lot of money.

This is why I think the future of vaping, as it becomes more popular, will continue to be centered around the NJoy, Blu, e-Swisher models will be the bigger part of the overall experience. e-Swisher doesn't even sell online. The sheer complexity (and expense) of finding an alternative works against the practice. Convenience will win out. We all dealt with the logistics of keeping cigarettes in stock but even there a majority buy by the pack vice cartons which is relatively more economical and so on.

...Analog smoking is pretty much menthol or regular and the strength, nothing like vaping at all. It's so easy just to flick that lighter.
We can thank the infinite wisdom of the FDA for the lack of choices of cigarette flavors. I recall the rationale was the FDA believed candy flavored cigarettes would make them attractive to children. Yet somehow the mini-cigars escaped the ban as you can easily find grape and cherry flavored ones behind the counter of any gas station or convenience store. If the FDA decides to go hard core with their Deeming Regulations of e-cigs, we could see the end of the flavored pre-filled cartridges as we know them today.

Honestly, I think that the price of them in stores and how the store units perform, minors would opt for analogs over them everyday. Even a flavored skinny cigar. Thinking back, when I started smoking analogs as a minor, if someone gave me a blu ecig to try I would of took one puff and threw it in the river.

I also agree with Baditude. Personal experience has shown me just how easy it is to fall off the vape train with insufficient planning. My brain receptors wait for nothing when it comes to nicotine. It's "NOW NOW NOW" first thing in the morning and several times throughout the day. At first, I found a really good mod and thought I was done, but no. Something happened to it and now what? There I was with a nic fit and nothing in the house that worked. Back to analogs, and stopping them again was no easy task.

Now there are two mods, several tanks, lots of supplies so it doesn't happen again. Whew!

i like how its becoming easier n easier to find disposables and whatnot in walmart gastations and the like. I just need to see these disposibles come FAR down in price. I ran out of juice a couple weeks ago and had ZERO money to buy more.... So my mom opted to buy me cigarettes the 1st 3 days. ( I was trying to get to friday pay day.. had to smoke till then :/ ) So then we hit walmart. They had 3 types of e-cigs. one was blu disposables, they had mystic kits and mystic disposables, and then they had FIN kits and FIN disposables. I couldn't figure out which ones had 510 and which ones had 808 so I decided to just buy disposables instead of buying refill cartomizers. I bought 2 NJOY KINGS disposable cigarettes. I had seen a revewer ( a RESPECTED ) reviewer... tout that HIS NJoyKing lasted him all night and into the next day. Fantastic! WELP....... My 1st Njoy king died about two hours from the time I opened it in the car to the time i sat down on my bed after having just got home. Thats how long that lasted.....

For a minute i thought "ohhh this must be a bad battery... Its supposed to last near 2 packs of cigarettes.. and when they say "will last up to 1 pack" I know that it usually gets me through a work day. It'll usually last around 5 hours vape time. So I was verryyy bummed when it died in 2 hours. (Idiot) So I fire up the second one... SAME THING. 2 hours. TWO HOURS vape time, on a 7 dollar disposable e-cig that touts 2 packs of cigarettes? I'd need 3-4 of them to last me all day. And i wasn't even trying to VAPE. I KNEW I had just spent my mothers money. Each of those "2 hours" was me trying to replicate myself smoking cigarettes. I'd have 5-10 puffs every 30 minutes. I figured surely if I vape at that pace, it will last me a good 4-5 hours if I'm lucky. TWO. TWO HOURS. Idk what I was thinking.

MY best advice to NJoy though? You need to put 4 of those in a pack. And still sell them for 6 bucks. Because here you are trying to tell a smoker he'll replace 2 of his cig packs with your product, and its only going to anger them when it only lasts 2 hours. Anger them enough to get them thrown OUT! Talk about turning people off from vaping? I think Njoy would do marvelously if they put 4 of those in a pack and sold it for 6 bucks. the tube is plastic, they could do the plastic clearomizers... They could actually put out a good product that would directly replace smoking entirely. But they havent.

Paying 14 dollars for 4 hours vape time was INFURIATING though. I wish I could see whomever the Njoy CEO is on the side of the road. BS.
