Is anything interchangable with Green Smoke?

OK, I'm another noob who fell into the Greensmoke advertising. I like the carts, they're fine, but the batteries, not so much. And, being just a bit over the top on things, I bought a buttload of carts. So, here I am with a buncha carts (which I like), but crappy batteries that keep dying right and left. Not to mention that their pricing is *way* high...(kicking myself for not coming here *first*....::Sigh::)

So, I'm going to send back my starter kit, but they don't take back the carts. So, I have a couple questions:

1. Which of the e9/v9 batteries holds a charge the longest (I realize this is somewhat relative, but I'd like feedback)

2. Is there another battery that can be used with the GS carts, with or without an adapter of some kind. And if so, how is the battery life?

3. I've looked around, and haven't seen a PCC that seems to be for the E9, hence my looking into an alternative. Is there a PCC for E9 batteries?

I'm lurking a lot around here, reading lots of posts, but my searches didn't turn up a firm answer on these, so I was hoping I could figure out if I just wasted a buncha money on carts, LOL....

Thanks for any help/advise/etc. you might have....

OK, answered one of my questions, there *is* a converter for e9 carts to 510 batteries in another post (can't post the link, not enough posts yet)

So, that raises the question of: is the 510 battery life good? I was a pack a day smoker of Marlboro lights, and the dang GS batteries only last maybe 50 draws per charge (they say 70 or so...)

Thanx,

Vicky Rowe

I'd love to give it to you, LOL...but the forum won't let me post links til I hit 15 posts....I'll pm it to you.

I was looking at the e-cig pass throughs. I was really hoping for a decent e9/v9 battery and a pcc though.....i've spent the last couple hours searching, and no luck yet.

Thanks Kushka! I had looked at that, but was looking for converters because from what I've read here (and I could be wrong, please tell me if I am) that the other compatible batteries to the GS cartos aren't much better than the GS one.

I haven't found much by way of a 'how long does xxx battery last' answers yet, but I'm still searching. If I could find a decent e9 battery, that would be good. What would be *ideal* would be that and a pcc. But, from what I've read and found (or not found) on Google so far says that if you have an e9 battery, you're basically screwed if you want a pcc, hence my search for a converter.

Thanks for your help!!

You might look at this thread

weal is saying that vaperpure has 510/e9 adapters - if that is the case you could just get an ego and use your e9 carts with it.

I use an 510/rn4081 adapter all the time - since I also have an npro as well as my egos

The ego, the reva , the helo16 and at least 70% of the mods - use the 510 battery connection - so even if you don't want a 510 -
if you get an adapter that will let you connect to a 510 battery - you would also be able to connect to the ego, the riva, the tornado etc.
And yes - compared to a greensmoke - even a 510 is pretty great (though I love ego's myself)

Suthrncomfrt1884,

The Green Smoke is a KR808D-2 (not D-1). It's threading is slightly different than the D-1.

For D-2 replacement batteries and cartos check out LeCig Electronic Cigarette Store - Cartomizers LeCig D-2 Cartomizers | Compatible with LeCig D2, Smoke 51 DUO, Green Smoke, E9, Bloog, and other 808D-2 style batteries.

Thanks for all the input guys!! So many choices! My brain is whirling! LOL....

Right now, I'm sticking with a one-piece carto and a more 'conventional' looking unit. I expect my gadget addiction will assert itself and push me to get a modded unit at some point, but right now I'd like to just get a couple batteries that are automatic so I can use up the pile of GS cartos I have.

So, in the automatic, ciggy-lookin' batteries, which has the longest charge *and* has a PCC available and the ability to use GS cartos (with or without a converter)?

Vicky - who will be juggling this weekend as I attend a renaissance faire in MD and hoping the 3 batteries I have will get me through a day of drinking cider and partying

Hey Vapwench, not quite the answer you want but I thought I would mention the KR808D-1. I fell into the same marketing trap as you re: Greensmoke and spent WAY too much. I have since bought a KR808D-1 and a Screwdriver MKII. The Screwdriver is kinda cool but not what you are looking for but I think the KR808D-1 might be.

The KR808D-1 is a lot cheaper than the Greensmoke, the batteries last longer, recharge more quickly, there is a very good PCC and the cartridges last longer (well the ones I have bought do, i'm sure they can differ between suppliers!) and are easy to refill with whatever liquid you want.

I live in the UK so I got my KR808D-1 from Liberty Flights (I think they have a US site as well). It might be worth you checking them out. I got a starter kit and a PCC for less than £50 (told you they are cheaper) and when I use VG liquid I get more vapour than in a standard Greensmoke cart.

The KR808D-1 is not compatible with Greensmoke carts unfortunately though (so I still use my Greensmoke on the evenings to use up my old carts).

My advice would be when it comes to the time to replace a Greensmoke battery you spend a little extra and get a KR808D-1 starter kit instead to save money in the long run.

Hope this is useful info?

Thanks C3RTIF1ED! I did get a KR808, in the form of a V4L setup. Very nice, but not as much vapor. I'm planning on getting VG-based e-juice and also going to mix some of my own, as I understand that it produces more vapor than PG.

Yeah, I got sucked in by Greensmoke, but I have to say, while expensive, they've been ok. Both my original batteries had issues, and they immediately shipped me new ones, plus some bonus carts, and were very friendly. I plan to refill their carts with more vanilla (my fav flavor so far) and keep using them until the batteries won't charge any more.....
