is dripping the side of the wicks a waste of juice?

Hello.

Maybe it is just me not knowing how to setup a proper coil and wick properly, but I feel like wetting the sides of the wick that is not touching the coils is a waste of juice.

I would drip and wet the entire wick, but after taking 2 hits, it already starts tasting dry, and after like 3 hits, I get a nasty dry hit because the section of the wick making contact with the coils is already dry but the sides of the wicks sticking out is still very wet, and it just ends up flooding my RDA when I drip some more later.

So, any tips?

Switch to rayon... pack it till it "squeaks" as you pull it through, then trim the tails WAAAAAY down... If you get dry hits with that, I'll come take your dripper away... :D
Seriously though... rayon (cellucotton) wicks much better and seems to be much more forgiving to me... and it doesn't taste like a sweaty sock! :)
