Go to thread display mode and change it to "Linear - Oldest First".

That's the setting I have but still have experienced this problem

I'm on here a lot. 24/7. I work out of my home. No problems on my end, tested several DNS, 4.2.2.2 is my secondary because it was slower. DNS set static on the router, Linux by the way. Main box is Linux using Firefox. and most pages load in 1 second or less. I've had, rarely, 15 second or longer load times on this site and not at back up time. And yes I check other sites load time when this is going on, average 1 second.

While some of the problems might be on the users end, I've had isp problems occasionally, there is definatly a problem at the other end.

I'm not complaining mind you, this place has been over run in the last few months. There was no way they could have anticipated this level of activity. The heads on the hard drives must be smokin. ERR vaping.

Very Seldom have I had any issues with site..
At most was click post reply takes 5 seconds.
You may want to check your DNS. As DNS & or packet loss can cause you issues.
I do not use my providers DNS. I have another set of DNS Addies to use.

As I use to have problems browsing sites such as FaceBook myspace ebay and many others While using my providers DNS Servers. Either page not found or error pages to blank pages.

Adding after I hit submit took 10 seconds to take me back to page..

yup sometimes it is server load.
i dont use linear i like seeing the newest posts first. prevents me from clicking last page and going back all the time.
When I check a forum I usually look at newest posts first to see.. & if its a thread I wish to read i goto last page to see first post.


And yes linux does lots better. But today my isp is a issue.
Was out like 18 hours came on this am. then wind/rain storm here. so lots of glitches. But otherwise I never seem to have issues. Im Running winblows XP tho. & Shopping for a lappy to run tri boot. Nix being main. xp 7 Nix.. Just unsure which flava I wish to run.

Using IE8 and I've been having problems off and on for days. Like a previous poster said it's almost like before the server move, but not as bad. Server load issues?

At around 1am EST, the forum goes through a server backup, so you'll experience a bit of a slowdown. Usually only lasts less than a half an hour.

Mal, backups killed the forums Mal, with a sword, how weird is that?

This seems to be happening more and more lately, really makes it a pain to look around, a lot of time I just leave the site because its not worth the hassel. And its sucks because I really like it here and there"s a lot of useful info here.

I keep running to slow load time. When it does finally load, I can't scroll down..it just makes vertical lines. And yes I clean my cache daily. It only does it here. Other sites are fine.

I hear ya Wing. But look at this (from our main page): Most users ever online was 725, Today at 06:43 PM.

With almost 30,000 members. over 7000 active members and almost a million posts.....the forum has grown exponentially. It probably does need yet another upgrade or perhaps even an addition but hey, give us a chance. It's not easy being the biggest and bestest ecig forum in the world...but as always, we will come through!

Actually, I have it on good authority that while the ECF may not be misbehaving, Lu is, for sure. I heard she had some Chippendales dancers in the server room, a fully stocked bar, and a fist full of dollar bills to stick in their unmentionables.
