Open-Mindedness

There is plenty of research that supports E Cigarettes are a much safer alternative than smoking and that they do not pose a significant health risk.

The problem is the only "research" that has been given wide-spread acknowledgement and news coverage has been the FDA’s single (debunked) study and subsequent Shock N’ Awe News Release. Closed-minded Anti-tobacco Zealots happily perpetuate the lies!

The tired old FDA News Release has been quoted ad infinitum. Some have even embellished the FDA’s disinformation (added more absurd, negative spin) to ramp up the fear!

Unfortunately, many people still believe that the FDA is driven by what’s best for public health; in fact, they are driven by what’s best for the Pharmaceutical Industry! The same holds true for other “public health” agencies such as the American Medical Association.

How did we ever arrive at a place where nearly a sixth of the country’s GDP and the public’s health have been solely entrusted to a self-serving, corrupt agency that the FDA has become!

There are ample studies, other than the shameful FDA farce, for anyone wanting to expand their knowledge and develop a balanced opinion.

A good place to start would be: tobaccoharmreduction.org.

A word of caution; you might become informed!

I still firmly believe that the FDA has done way more than just the one study/test that they keep harping about and my guess is that they do not like what they have found - which is probably evidence that supports e-cigs as being "safer" than traditional cigarettes. They are never going to publish any pro-e-cig findings and I truly wish there was a way - through freedom of information act - that we could gain access to 'all' the testing they have really done up to date.

Well, the one study/test that they do keep harping about showed that e-cigs are safer than traditional cigarettes. They're just banking on the laziness of the news media and the sheep-like mentality of the general populace to not make that connection/realization. So far, it has worked.

Edit: Hit reply too soon. Because I wanted to add that I agree with you, D103.

I work in a prison, the largest number of addicts admitted are hooked on percs, oxy's, that type of drug. If they are off them then they are addicted to methadone. Now they need something to get the addicts off methadone. They believe "Pharmaceutical grade" h-e-r-o-i-n is the answer. Fact is all these drugs kill and addicts will kill to get them, they were produced by big pharma and approved by the FDA. End of story.
(had to do that with the drug as the word itself was blocked.)

Hey, wonder what would happen if a prisoner wanted a ecig? That would be interesting or if he was vaping ecigs before he went it.
Sorry, scroats (prisoners) can't have E-cigs for several reasons. They can only spend 60 bucks a week on canteen. They can only buy what is on the canteen sheets, nutty bars, hygene items, etc. And the top ten reason scroats cannot have E-cigs is the dip-....s would try and sharpen them to stab one another or Officers. Then complain it caused their E-cig not to work and demand the ministry pay for it.

And in the liberal media headlines would just read "Two people killed by Electronic Cigarettes":?: ....
The FDA would be sooo happy!
