I guess I'll be the contrarion, I have it and I think it's just okay. It does do what it's supposed to, but there are a couple of things about it that I really don't like. One is that it often cuts out for about a second, the button is pressed but it doesn't fire, only lasts for about a second but it's a pain. The other thing, is mine often changes by itself from wattage to voltage mode. I also don't like the placement of the screen. I used two Istick20s since they first came out and loved them both. This 50 just doesn't measure up, imo. I think there are better 50 or higher wattage mods around for around the same money. I don't regret buying it, my IPV3 Smith Mod is a bit big to carry around, the Istick does fit nicely into the pocket, it just doesn't live up to the promise that the 20 showed. I know it's been improved over the original one, with better threading and such, but it just doesn't measure up.

I'm not a heavy vaper and I picked this up Saturday afternoon, charged it up and have been using it since then. After 4 days of usage, the battery gauge on the screen still shows more than half remaining. I should only have to charge it back up once a week.

the istick 50w is the best bang for the buck imho.
I have two of them and absolutely love them both.
No, they are not the greatest thing ever, and they have some issues, the touchy or intermittent fire button being the main issue people are reporting.. this is a non issue if you get it with a warranty, the issue will be present out of the box and appears to be a manufacturing defect of sorts.

Both of mine have been very good with the Subtank Mini..

The Subtank mini would be an excellent RTA to start out, my only concern would be if you are up to lung hits.. the subtanks out there, including the atlantis and delta II are great lung hitters, but not so much mouth to lung like analogs would be.. even on the most restricted airflow setting I find lung hits just work better on these subtanks.

If you are die hard mouth to lung the Nautilus tank atomizers with the new BVC coil heads are very nice.
Rebuildable mouth to lung atties you'd be better to ask around.. IDK

Edit: just found out cause I just tried it on my new coil, but a proper vertical coil build in the Subtank mini offers a nice comfortable tasty mouth to lung.. although this is kind of a moderate to advanced build on the STMini, fwiw ymmv

I'm getting excited for it to get here :) Bit nervous now tho because I heard a story about a ecig blowing up on someone's face :/ Kinda freaky

That was completely user error. He was using a stock Atlantis on a hybrid mech mod, a big no no due to the 510 pin on the Atlantis, basically it recesses back under pressure, and shorts the battery when used with a hybrid mech. This is why hybrid mechs should not be used by ....... That story is getting way to much coverage and misinformation being spread its just silly.

You went with a regulated mod, iStick 50, which has safety features, like most regulated mods these days, you'll be fine.
