Ok, I smoked analogs for years ( 14 ) and i admit, when i was sick i couldn't stand having a smoke, but if it was a cold or something of the sort i still smoked.

I noticed one thing ( and so did my buddy ) but whenever i am sick ( cold, chest cold, sore throat, etc ) vaping is like inhaling a bag of rocks into my lungs!

Now i DOUBT this is because my lungs haven't had smoke in 4 months and there clearing up, but when i am sick it kills! Like someone throwing a ton of bricks at my chest, sometimes burns, just awe-full!!

Is anyone else like this?

As i said, with analogs, i could manage it ( they tasted nasty normally, maybe a slight burn of the throat at times ) but when vaping its just a NO NO bottom line!

I've had colds and still vaped. In fact, though I'm not yet certain, it appears to me vaping has helped me a bit.

I almost always get a secondary bacterial URI/Lung infection on the tail end of a cold and end up on atibiotics. Not since I started vaping. In fact a couple of low-grade infections that have bothered me for years have cleared up. Coincidence or not, I'm glad of it.

I am suffering from a cold now which has settled in my chest. I am still vaping although I have noticed the cough is a very dry one that makes it very hard to sleep. I am trying to only vape when I really need to in order to let this thing run its course.
I always have had the colds end up in the chest and always end up with a cough that lasts forever. I think it was a little worse on normal cigarettes than it is currently with vaping.

I currently have a sore throat, fever and aching all over. Usually when I get this I cough but since I quit smoking and started vaping 9 months ago I am not coughing. It usually settles in the chest but this time its not in my chest. I am not nearly as sick with this now that I no longer smoke. Right now I can't stand anything in my throat not even vaping.

right there with ya Martha. My throat is even more irritated with every puff I take and I use mostly VG. I had to cut my nic level down even more to help combat the wickedly painful TH. It helps a little.......

IK recently got out of the hospital after a 16 day stay. I attempted to vape but found that it made my lungs feel like they were constricting and also felt very heavy. I also tried a cig from a friend later that night and found there was no negative feeling on my lungs. I don't understand how cigs can feel fine and vaping causes discomfort.

As for sore throats and mild colds I have not had any issues vaping. With the sore throat I always drink tea with honey and never have issues vaping.

Currently dealing with a cold (yeah, didn't dodge the fouth bullet) and I can vape just fine. I noticed this morning that I didn't think about it until after being up for 1/2 hour or so. That never happened as a smoker.

I will also say that my lungs, so far, are very clear even being sick, this also never happened as a smoker. :) I have a cough but it's pretty much thanks to post nasal drip and it is a clear dry cough. I do more "ehem" throat clearing than coughing.

It was hard for me to vape when my throat was soar just last week but I still did it. My throat has hurt a few times since and I had gotten some VG juice and that didn't bother me as much as the PG so I'm guessing when I get sick the next time, if I just vape the VG juice it won't be as bad. But like I said I still vaped cause I just enjoy it way to much :)

I just had a 4 day head/chest cold with considerable coughing. I could vape, but only unflavored juice, as any of the flavors I'm using now (coffee/toffee/vanilla/caramel) really irritated my lungs and caused lots of coughing. I had zero issues with vaping unflavored juice. In fact now I am getting back into flavors, but I'm preferring much lower %s than the 10-20% I was vaping before. I have actually come to the conclusion that perhaps some flavor compounds cause more lung irritation issues with me than I previously thought. Didn't try any mints or menthol while I was sick, as I didn't want any flavors at all.
