Is it just me or is civility becoming a thing of the past (except for this forum, that is)??

Naw, we are retreating back to our root where primal instinct take over via violence. Evidence of childhood never left such as those that are prone to throwing fits/creating drama. I also blame a strong desensitization with those under the age of 30 even thought they have been environmentally trained to act like they care.

Is it just me or does it seem like too many people merely comment on the previous post without asking another 'is it just me' question?

Krispy creams... not my fave. I think it's the white icing that tends to taste sorta metallic as an after flavor

Is it just me or does the sky seem to be more white then ever. - as apposed to a vibrant blue and I don't mean cloud cover.

I prefer XM myself Saw sir. Mainly channel 202 (yes I know they're the same company now, but the virus is the last remaining members of the xm days. :)

Krazie sir, there are stil great bands out there, just underground now.....

Etheral sir, I'm not touching that..... I hate brokeback mountain....

I'm very familiar with xm 202. Not so much anymore since my computer died (used to listen for free on paltalk because we got tired of paying for an xm sub) but guys have been pretty good at posting good bits from each day or so on youtube.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they're living in bizarro world? Things just seem "off" more often than not.

I think it's were you live, Maiahmae. I'm in California and the sky's pretty blue here.

Is it just me, or are the kids today being raised scared ....less? Don't/Can't do anything for themselves ... walk to school, for example. From everything I've read, it's no worse out there then it was when I was a kid (I'm 49), yet parents act like there's a pedophile around every corner. Kids aren't learning to be self-reliant and think that someone will be taking care of them their entire life.

That would be scared witless (since it removes inappropriate prefixes ;)

Had a co-worker tell me the other night { she in her 20's, I'm in my 50's } 'All the stupid people are breeding, I'm scared because I want to wait till I'm older'! She's taking care of her Mom, going to school and working part-time.

Is it just me or did the 70's and 80's the best time to have fun when you were young?
Edit- Oh Hell yeah :)

My gf and I have been together for 10 years (getting married in may). I'm 33 and she's 32, were still not ready for kids, were putting it off for another couple years.

Its disturbing to my core how these teens today can just pop them out one after another, no idea who the dad is most of the time because they're so easy, and not have a care in the world.

I don't want to get into a heavy political discussion so ill leave it at our entire system is set up to coddle the weakest among us and they thrive while those who actually have ethics or 2 brain cells to rub together are continually punished. There's no incentive to work hard except for a vague sense of self worth because the fruits of your labor are taken at gun-point and given to the stupid and weak. The "stupid gene" is the one that's taking over our societal dna. They're breeding too rapidly for those with brains to keep up.

I dare say that if we actually let darwinism do its thing, we could weed out stupidity in a few generations. Heck, millions would probably be erase themselves from the gene pool within a year. Keep in mind all those silly warnings on products these days are only there because someone did that stupid thing and sued the company. That's what were dealing with lol.
