Is it okay to use MaxxFusion carts with my old V4L batteries?

I'm wondering if they have too much current for these Bloog carts. I just get the feeling that, even though the carts are working, they are being overdriven. Vapor is not as smooth or plentiful and the taste is reduced as well. Anybody have any thoughts about this? Right now I only have one Bloog battery so when it is charging, I need to use my old V4L's. Unfortunately, Bloog's carts are the best performing but only with their batteries it seems.

After thinking about it, I'm wondering if the opposite is true - that my old batteries don't produce enough current compared to the Bloog?

Mr Morandir has a blog that touches on this issue I believe.

E-Cigarette Forum - Morandir835 - Blogs

From what I've heard the consensus is it is best to use the suppliers carts with the suppliers batteries but they will work with each other.
I've also heard that sometimes interchanging the different carts and batteries the center post had to be pried out a little.
I haven't tried it yet either way but I will soon when some orders come in.

You can use the BMF cartos on a VK battery, but only if the battery isn't fresh off the charger. Fresh is too high (4.2?) and the BMF cartos need about 3.6 to work the best. Otherwise you burn the juice (not the carto filling) and it tastes bad. If you have v4l cartos, use those on the fresh bat until it "calms down" (maybe 15-30 mins?) then switch over to the BMF. That's what works for me :)

BMF batteries are regulated at 3.6V, which means they produce that voltage throughout the life of a charge, with some slight drop-off towards the end of the charge-life.

Most other KR808D batteries come off the charger at 4.2V (as star said), and slowly drop to 3.7V over the charge-life.

Leaford (who oversaw the design of the cartos) has said that they were designed to work with the BMF battery tech, and there have been reports of burnt taste from a non-BMF battery fresh off the charger (as many here can attest -- I'm not one of them though, as I only have BMF batteries).

Star has managed a good plan for using them together, but if possible it's best to only use the cartos on BMF batteries.

I pretty much retired my VK batteries and have none of their cartos left anyhow. But that's just what I used to do when I did still want to use it. And the only reason I don't still use my red VK is cuz of this issue. There's nothing wrong with the battery itself, but I'm not going to buy their cartos anymore because I like the BMF ones so much better.
