Is it possible to damage a 501 atty from blowing it out too hard?

I just got some new flavors in the mail and wanted to try them out. I've been dripping lately, so I took off my atty, blew it out really well, several times until there were no more drips. I added my new flavor, took a puff and it was a terrible burned taste. This is NOT a new atty with whatever residue is common with the new ones. It has been fine all day and was perfect with the last puff I took, seconds before I blew it out. Any ideas?

Using canned air you can and people have, but with your mouth, I doubt it. You can of course 'move things around' so you may have moved something on to the coil that doesn't taste good, but damage? Nah....

Maybe the juice is bad.. try it on another PV if you have one.

I've been vaping for 2 1/2 months now and have NEVER lost an atty. But then again, I NEVER blow on them or clean them at all. I will on occasion invert them and let them drip but that's about it. I hear how fragile and sensitive they are so I think that blowing too hard might do something to them. On your next atty, try doing nothing at all to them, I think you'll be surprised. If you want to change flavors just drip a few times with the new juice and the flavor will kick in.

I just blew out one of my 901 atomizers, it blew its' guts right out and onto a dish towel today...it wasn't very old either. All this means is...be careful when you blow them out.

(I admit it was the first one I'd ever damaged that way).

Wow. Something must have been wrong with that atty to begin with. Either that or you have some seriously powerful lungs :)
