None of the tank cartomizers I've bought have big enough holes. I usually just make the hole a little bigger with a hammer and nail.

I've seen where a lot of people cut them with dremel tools. I don't know about this. A lot of people do it but I'm still not sure I trust it. It seems like you'd inhaling tiny pieces of metal, which seems like an awful idea. I sanded a cartomizer once a long time ago and that was an awful experience. Cutting a slot seems like it'd be about the same.

Do they boil them or anything after? How do you get all the dust out? I slot seems like it'd be a good way to feed it but I'm still not sure about the procedure.

Ive cut my cartos with a dremmel and dont worry about metal. the filler would catch any particles in the filler before you inhaled them. Just be careful when using the cutting wheel not to go too deep. Clean it out as well as you can. I dont worry about particles and cant see any. dust more than anything is what you will see. just wipe away.

I don't trust cutting as well. punching seems easier and faster although. I'm still feeling it out as well. Would be great to see which you decide on is best for you. Let us know.

Think I'll stick to punching holes... maybe a few more that are closer together. I'd try it out if I could find a method that didn't require sawing - maybe an exacto or something.

I'd love it if I could find a technique that I really thought was safe but until then I'll stick to holes.

I have cut them with a Dremel but using a good saddle valve is easier to me...don't have to even get up from my desk. Just make sure you get a good one...they cost about 6 bucks
