My vendor got this information from the maker, sounds a bit sketchy to me but I'm passing it on anyways.

"KSD (Kangside) are one of the companies that claim to be the manufacturer of the VAMO. It is them, Vision and maybe one other company. Personally, I think they all get them from the same factory but you never know with China.

OK. after exchanging a few emails with the sales rep acting as an in-between with an engineer, here's the scoop.

With the V3 and the current batch of V2s they changed the whole 510 connection. The center post has been redesigned. The engineer agreed that when initially screwing in a cartomizer it was going to stop part of the way. At that point it is necessary force it a bit, and that will allow the cartomizer to fully seat in the threads. I did this and he was correct. Unlike with other recessed well mods where you are warned to not over-tighten, with the VAMO you need to twist it in with a bit of force. Eventually the threads seem to loosen up and less force is required."

I'm not done yet. I will make this defective vamo v3 perfect. The Chinese love a good knockoff of a good knockoff of a good copy. I am going to reinvent this thing and make it work for most. 1 week smoke free because of the vamo. Smoke free for everyone when I figure it out.
I second this problem as well, I've had to send mine back too! Who wants to use an adaptor which will only raise the height/length of the device and look weird? Not me... Going back to ProVari here, I'm done with these cheap Chiner mods.

There's another mod that had to be tightened passed a "stop point." It may have been an older Zmax version. Phil Busardo mentions it in one of his reviews.

I purchased two of the Vamo V3's and glad I did! They both work fine and the threads are okay but...one of these had a cracked in the glass on the LCD. Not the actual LCD but the glass covering the LCD. Talked with their support, sent it back on the 8th and awaiting for the replacement. FastTech customer service was a pleasure to deal with (so far).

wow sewage chill bro...dang!

I have seen no less than 4 different threads on the NEW lot of Vamo V3's of which I ordered 2 (one for me and my wife)

I am sweating it because I am still waiting on mine to come in...

It seems like a new batch or bad batch or something...I sure hope I don't get one of the dreaded crap thread Vamo's this go around

And Sewage...when a guy has a very high post count its usually safe to bed the guy is a regular and you shouldn't step on your own pecker and start jumping on him for saying something you didn't like

I've been using the chrome vamo v3 version with no problems since July 1st.... I've even dropped it a bunch of times on a hard wood floor. I know it is a cheap device, but it does the job for me and have really grown to love it.

The only times I have problems with threading is using a boge f16 carto tank and the carto doesn't lock. So you can only get it so tight and can't over tight (cause it just spins). Been only using 510 toppers so far without an issues.
