Argh, why are creatures from the sea so terrifying?? I have never been a fan of the ocean for this type of reason!!!!

Anna

Awww...c'mon...he's cute. Well, not nearly as terrifying as "skwonk". :)

And to the OP - you can get a dna squonker for under 100 bucks - the hcigar VT Inbox.

I have two rda's that I rotate exclusively that have the ability for a skwonker pin and that is the authentic Velocity V2 and the Goon 1.5. I also have the Dead Rabbit on my list. Being that I drip constantly I think that a skwonker is my best choice for my next mod. Money is an issue and the skwonker mechs seem easier to get my hands on than the really expensive regulated dna skwonkers.

I do learn fast when I apply myself to something. I have the ability to teach myself most of the necessary knowledge I need to to vape a mech. I don't care how long it takes but I I definitely would be patient with this and not make a purchase until my knowledge of ohms law and battery safety is coming outa my ears.

I'm not sure if it's worth it though. Maybe I should spend the extra money when I can get it and buy a DNA skwonker. Currently my knowledge and understanding of ohms law and battery safety isn't sufficient for a mech but like I said I do learn fast. I am willing to learn. What would be the best way way to go?
There is also the Ijoy Capo Squonk that just came out. I have the regular Capo and it is my favorite little mod, Plus Ijoy gives you a 21700 battery and an adapter to use 18650s That said, you should plan on picking up a Mech mod at some point and learn how to use it safely, as a mech will long outlast a regulated mod in the event of Vapocolypse or FDA deeming

Does anyone use the Tsunami 24 for squonking? If yes I'm wondering if it can be a very leaky rda for that. It's interesting that from my top 3 rda's they all ended up coming with a squonking pin- velocity V2, Goon & Tsunami 24. The other two makes sense for being a squonk rda but it's hard for me to see the tsunami as a fully functional squonker rda. Maybe I'm wrong.

I use both Tsunami 24 and 22 on occasion for sqonking. Little squonks, lol. Ya, they can leak a little.

Regulated squonk mods are better for single coil setups as they do not drain the battery that much and its easier to get a good vape. With mech squonkers, if you can get the build right you will have a really good vape but you get less power with every vape.
Gotta disagree with you here....
I find mechanical squonkers are PERFECT for single coil builds....if you know how to build for a mech. I run a simple 24ga spaced SS coil in all of my squonk attys. 6 wraps, 2.5mm. After running through a whole bottle (7 ml) my battery is always between 3.7 and 3.8v. (VTC 5As). Every time I refill, I swap the battery... because, why not? I'm already there...right?
Running duals on a mech works too...if they're not designer coils with a ton of wire. Simple round wire SS coils work fine but eat up a little more power.
Saying regulated is better because you get better battery life and it's easier to get a good vape out of a single coil is like saying a hamburger is better than steak because you can pick it up with the bun.
Furthermore, I've never been a fan of your chip being in such close proximity to a bottle of juice.

I have both regulated and mech squonkers. They both have their places in rotation. With the right build as mentioned a mech can give you a great vape, a regulated will allow you to tweak your vape without rebuilding.
I just picked up the fuchai squonk for its size, but found the bottle a bit small and needs lower wattage to get the battery life. I'm still trying to find it's sweet spot.
The new geekvape gbox is a dual battery that is being well received. Good luck.

To me it's a no but that's because of mainly 1 reason : I'm a technology geek i like seing how stuff works inside and work issues out myself. I do appreciate how stupid simple mech mods are though and i find it fascinating, but mech mods aren't for me as i don't really wanna learn 0hms law and all that jazz, i already learned to rebuild in order to get more flavor out of my juices and i don't even have an rda (yet) I might still get a squonker soon but i'm waiting for my vape shop to get some good regulated ones (like the new Ijoy 100w squonker i've seen, that one i'd buy on the spot).

Overall it's always subjective ofc alot of people think it's worth it but i'm not a mech guy, i like seeing how much tech companies like smok can put into a tiny mod even though i find it sometimes overkill (ie adding lights on them.... that's cool, but useless imo)

I can say personally I have also been considering going to a squonker. However, after having used a device with a DNA 75C board I am now spoiled. I use TC exclusively and not sure I would ever want to go back to any regulated device that doesn't have a dedicated "Select" button (instead of using the fire button). The ease of use that simple extra button adds is amazing. Also I don't see me ever not using TC and for that the DNA boards are the best. So for me I am going to wait for a DNA 75C based squonker. This is all my personal opinion though.

Wait no longer my friend! The Lost Vape Therion has been out for a bit and besides being a single battery unit it is the bomb! I've got a little Pulse 22 on it built around .5Ω and the battery life is not dismal. It is also one fine vape. Love good TC in a squonker. That little gem will suck every last drop out of that atty with nary a dry hit.

I thought that used the old DNA 75 (Not C). I may have to look into that if it's the "C" board. Although I have heard a few stories about the Therion damaging battery wrappers when swapping them in and out. Have you had that experience?

It is the "C" board and hasn't been out too long. There's a dirty little secret here with the battery damage thing. The "C" board has reverse battery protection where the prior 75 did not. Lost Vape left the protruding ring around the positive connector in the battery tray however. Maybe double safety? Maybe expense? A little putzing with either a small file or a Dremel tool will remove that pesky little bump. No need to even remove all of it. Just where you slide in the battery. Viola! Smooth easy access. No battery damage. No hassle.

    Wait No More :w00t:
    and
Ya Beat me to it :thumb:

    My 2 cents; I have both an Inbox/Hadaly (dna75) & a Therion BF/Entheon (dna75) which I thoroughly dig equally.
BUT,,,, I also have a Mech Driptech DS (dual 18650 so no issue with or crying about Batt Life/Longevity) war-headed with a Pulse 22 single Clapton built at about .45R which is also quite tasty, cloudy and overall vaporiffic.

All the "OR" thought, contemplation, frustration, and debate is pointless & (IMO) inane... ;)
Choose "AND" - Get Both then Vape On & Enjoy it ALL to the fullest :headbang:

    Best is Neither,,, :nah:
    True BEST is BOTH
