Why do so many people want to build to 0.1ohm?

I have the 20, 30, rdna30 and rdna 40 but my rdna40 has the big screen. I wonder if they'll offer the dna40 with the big screen. I love their stuff and as far as I know, thats the cheapest dna40 (evolv) out there. $159???? It's a steal. Thanks for the info!

One of my rdnas has the big screen the other ones don't, not sure that I have any real preference On size, I do like that the bigger screen shows wattage voltage and temp at once.
I prefer the smaller screen on the smaller mod through. The finish in the new dna is awesome!!
Its a little 'thicker' in texture than the Rdna, almost feels like it has a skin on it and it seems a but more durable. I still keep it in the skin regardless but.

Does it go into Celsius? The bigger screen tells me it's a newer board....My VaporFlask had some issues and they swapped the board. The new one goes into Celsius when you lower the temp all the way. The older versions of the Evolv DNA40 didn't do that.

So the new one becomes less precise when you lower the temp all the way? Celcius =1.8 F

Why would it?

FWIW you set temps in C in 5 degree increments and F in 10 degree increments. The board itself measures well beyond the displayed temperature, which moves in increments of 1 degree.

Why would it? Because not having the device, and seeing no mention of that previously, C is less precise. If I had known the set temp increment was different, I wouldn't have asked.

Actually, I do agree somewhat with you. Experimentation is key to the continuing progress and advancement. I've read posts on here not so long ago I initially thought was just plain nuts.... And now is part of my normal vaping. When I first read about expirements with microcoils, thought it was strange... How could it possibly provide resistance in a coil. Now I wrap them weekly. One time I thought hybrids were foolish & unsafe... Now 2 of my favorite mechs have hybrid adapters (still can be argued they're unsafe though).

But the OP was discussing new vapors. Sampling juice in a b&m recently, the clerk was extolling the benefits and trying to sell a 100w mod with a subohm tank...nothing wrong with that .... But to a completely new, naive, & totally uneducated vapor!

Don't mean to be on my high horse as u say..... But that's just foolish. Subohms deserve respect for nothing more than safety reasons .... What a new vapor needs to learn. All imho of course.

I actually think newbies should be pushed in the direction of regulated mods, so a kudos to that shop. Buyers come in wanting tha clouds in many cases. That's about the safest way to give them what they want. Specially if they are using a sub ohm tank with premade coils. What gets me is setting up new vapers with a mech and rba, with zero explanation of build and battery safety. I was hanging out at the local smoke shop (they have a bigger selection of vape gear then many vape shops) and a husband and wife came in because they couldn't get their mech and igo-w to work right. First thing I noticed, it was wicked all wonky. Then I noticed it had two premade .5 ohm coils in it (put in as uneven as could be, one close to the posts, one close to the wall). Pulled his battery and he was using a battery with a 5 amp draw! I immediately told him the issues, had him purchase a safer battery, and a sub ohm tank they wouldn't have to build on until he learned more about vaping :p

I have no interest in Celsius other than the evolv boards that include Celsius are newer boards that have many of the previous bugs worked out. The newer the board, the more stability. I like my glitches to be new news....not old news.

You've got stuff totally backwards in this paragraph.

actually voltage drop sort of saves some people.
example, mod has a resistance of 0.1 ohm, and user puts on a 0.1 ohm coil;
he thinks he's running 160 watts with 4 volts and 40 amps
but he's really running 40 watts with 2 volts and 20 amps
because he's got a voltage drop of 50% (2 volts voltage drop)
and another 40 watts is wasted warming the mod itself.

Then one day they try the same thing with a shiny copper mod with 0.01 ohm voltage drop and it goes BOOM.

He meant that it was built at a certain ohms based on a voltage drop, then the cause of the drop somehow gets removed........pipe bomb :p

These days if your not supporting everything your somehow stuck in your ways or your trying to oppress others rights to do as they please so give it up no point worrying about it anymore it is damaging to vaping most vapers know that but those who go to extreme will tell you that's rubbish. Stock up on your supplies guys so when the idiot brigade do get the legislative hammer dropped we can carry on for a few years before going back to the stinkies and remember not a single thing some in the vaping community do that goes wrong affects vaping at all it's "all the antz".

I now keep my mouth shut on my true views because I'm tired of being called whatever by the devotee's of whatever most of them being the very definition of selfish in the process so put whatever device to the lips vape well and let them get on with it.
There was a time when I would always note that it was the ANTZ that were the cause of vaping bans.
And before there was even such a thing as blowing clouds, many would still be arguing that anybody that dared to vape in public was the problem.

Now there can be no doubt in my mind that there are some clowns out there that are helping push that agenda.
I wish it had never gotten to this point, but here we are.

And no, it is not cloud-blowing in and of itself that is the problem...

It is the jerks who don't know how to act properly in a society.
Or the ones that don't give a crap about anyone else.

Or the vape shops that sell dangerous equipment to people just wanting to be cool and not knowing what they are doing.

nope.

In an exceptional design feat, the battery has been replaced with a full size 2500 mAh, 35 Amp, LG 18650 hard wired to the DNA 40 board.

http:// Vapor Shark® | Premium E-Liquids & Personal Vaporizers /advanced/mechs-mods/dna40

apparently vaporshark considers the dna40 a 'mech-mod'.

No wonder new vapers are confused.

I suppose it's to the suppliers (superficial) advantage to confuse new customers.

CORRECTION:
It actually says "Mechs/MODS"

which is still a bit confusing to new vapers because a mech is a mod; it ought to just say MODS.
