Highly recommend. It was my first and last PV. All my friends are getting them now and they are all newbie's too. Just remember it isn't like a cigarette in your hand. It's heavy because it works all day and you only have to do "maintanence" once in the morning (fill tanks). So easy.

One of my friends is not too bright and even she is able to use it. It's almost dummy proof. I say almost because she called me on day 3. After not snapping a cap on tightly, it came off inside the atty. I went over to assess the situation and luckily all I had to do was just put the capless tank back in and give it a little shove, which put the cap on the tank, allowing both to be pulled back out.

So it's easy, but you have to put the caps on fully before inserting!!!!

I haven't tried the tank system yet but love the Joye ego super(mega)b type system. It has the bigger atomizer, bigger battery, bigger cartriges. Less time filling, charging, etc. Good luck on your hunt. Oh and I'm leaning towards the atomizer over the cartomizer setup. THe kit I got had various cartomizer, atomizer (a sampler kit) so had hands on experience with the variations.

once again ty all i have fount a riva 510 with * 2 x 750mAh Battery
* 2 x 510 Atomizer - 2.2 ohm resistance
* 1 x USB Fast Charger
* 1 x USB Mains Plug (US)
* 10 x Blank Carts - e-liquid will be required to fill the cartridges, sold separately
* 1 x Atomizer Cone
for 30 dollars
was wondering if this would work well with tank atomizers and tanks which i fount for 10 or if it would be best just to get a all ego t kit because if the performance would drop much or have to mess with it a lot i would rather pay the 30 or 20 dollars diff

beachman, you can easily attach a tank atty+tanks to the Riva batt's. Also having carts+atty will allow you that set-up and "direct dripping" on top.

That is the nice thing with the eGo system ( or batteries anyway )

they can be used in many different ways, and they last a long time, the 650 will last all day for someone that smoked less than a pack a day, and the 900 or 1000 will last all day for a heavier smoker.

And you can try

Tank atty and tank
Standard Atty and carts
Mega Atty and carts
Cartomizers
Mega Cartomizers
attys and drip tips

Heck you can stick a map tank on it I hear ( have not seen that myself )

Even if you dont like the tank... you arent stuck with it with an eGo

I was a heavy smoker of non-filtered cigs. My body really likes nicotine. I got an ego-t 4 weeks ago and haven't looked back. With a good juice, it gives me a very satisfying "smoke". I can guarantee that, with this unit, I will not smoke a cigarette again. I bought empty carts with the kit, some extra batteries, and have settled on backwoods.net's 555 tobacco flavored juice. I find it amazing. It's not that close to actual tobacco smoke. But what it is is actually better. It also improves with age.

I have the ego-t but I want something more....What is the best option that i could hook onto the batteries I have? Is the BlueMist Robacco Menthol straight up menthol or does it have a mint flavor?

"Something more" sounds like you are looking for a little different experience.

I would recommend either direct dripping onto a LR (Low Resistance) Atomizer or a LR Cartomizer. Both are readily available with 510 threading (will work with your battery) and the LR is a good option to give you a little extra UMPH!

This is all subjective but if you find it's just lacking that punch, LR Attys and Cartos will provide you with a hotter vapor and generally more of it as well...worth a shot!

**p.s. they also make LR versions of the eGo-T attys, but I've heard through others that the difference is barely noticeable.

I started with the Mini and it was perfect in the sense it most closely resembled a real cigarette and therefore most easy in the sense of 'replacement' to a real cigarette. Problem is the vapor, nicotine and 'hit' were not enough.

Went to what I think is called the '510' which is still a 'cigarette' but just bigger though still small enough to 'mimic' a cigarette. Actually quite good for a 'First Timer' I think.

But to answer the question - I'd go Joye Ego (regular kind) and get that starter kit from Liberty Flights (or wherever) and a bottle of nicotine e-Juice.
The regular Joye Ego may feel just a little bulky or awkward at first in terms of the 'hand feel' and 'weight feel' you are very much used to with the old style cigarettes. You might find the manual button feels unnatural at first too.
however,
in a very short time you not only adjust to those 'hand feel' and 'finger habit' issues and can start vaping with a perfectly good all-around e-cig that (and this is important) can give you plenty enough vapor and 'hit' that you will have that replacement satisfaction full-on.

Ego-T sounds interesting and I know people get into drip tips and other mods but I honestly think more smokers will more easily catch on successfully to something 'straightforward' at first.

So Yeah.. echoing a few here - Regular Joye Ego Starter Kit and a 30ml bottle of Tobacco flavour nicotine juice. Basic, all-purpose, holds its own, no tricks, mods or frustrating techniques. Just a straight up solid e-cig that will defeat your cigarettes fair and square.

*btw.. just throwing in a tip from someone only a few months further along: While some switch in just a few days - others need a few weeks (sliding back and forth between cigs and vaping) so don't get frustrated if you take a while to transition. One day you stop coughing, can breath easily and notice you save about $400 a month and will forget old-style cigarettes without ever 'trying' or 'using willpower' or even having noticed it!
Good luck!! (and you don't even need luck heh)

Someone already mentioned the low res atty with carts. The drip tip is also pretty good. I would suggest that first because it's cheap to get started and though you have to drip every 5-10 minutes, you get the most out of your flavor/juice. If that's the experience you are looking for, go to supertmanufacturing.com and pick up the vapemate. It takes all the driping out of the driptip experience. Kinda makes the ecig look like a big .... though. That's probably what I'll be moving up to when I get the cash.

I don't know if the cisco atty is still burning out the chips on the ego bats, can anyone verify? It's supposed to be one of the best performance atomizers on the 'market', and comes in 510 threading.

ty all for all the info because if it wasnt for this forum and the help of you peeps i feel sure me and many others would be lost or never try vaping or get ripped off by all those ecig scams out there ty for info

The online forums were helpful to me too. I actually discovered these in China years ago but never knew much about the progress since then.

One of the (good and bad) things is that e-cigs are an emerging technology and there are now many different styles, models, specs, but this is good in that its allowing the consumers to 'vote' the best products into success.

It can be 'bad' in that there is a specialized 'keener' culture developing with jargon, far too many different (and not interchangeable) parts and this is one of the things stopping the 'average person' from even bothering to get involved.

One of the reasons I echoed the others recommending the regular Joye Ego is that this seems to be emerging as the 'standard model' but also with the most available add-ons (if you want) fitting the Ego.
That way you are not doing what I did - spending endless time trying to criss-cross parts or ending up with bags of parts (and no working cigs) because X doesn't fit Y or this model is phased out etc etc.
The Joye Ego does the trick and isn't being immediately replaced (and rendered useless) yet and its good enough now they don't need to do too much more.

After that - if you want to get into mods, drip-tips, specialty cartomizers and all these zany 'Pro' goodies then great. You can.
But for now a solid 'bullet-proof' regular Joye Ego starter kit is easy 'straight from the box' no-funny-business reliable instant start.

All this in my humble opinion of course. Next year I may very well be raving about the.. Ego-X 1300 drip-tip low-res this-and-that :p

I somewhat agree with the learning curve. I think a lot of the bad-press the Tank has gotten is from inexperience. When you have to go from a 510, or a KR8 to mods, you already have a certain mindset on what vaping is and the various drawback for each type od setup. Then you go to the Tank and it eliminates so many issues that you can put up with any small problems you experience with the Tank.
By then you already know about attys, batteries, refilling, cleaning, etc. so it just makes the Tank seem so easy to use and maintain.

I completely agree with everything that you state here. I started with a 510 and enjoy it very much. I've owned a tank now for one week and I am enjoying the longer vape without having to refill. Like you stated, they all require maintenance at some point and I do know what to look forward in that area.
