Are you using automatic batteries? I would recommend manuals so you can drag more easily/softly and get a better hit, and so the batteries will be protected from being damaged or killed by juice (510 manuals are totally sealed metal on the threaded end). But if you get manuals I recommend Joye brand and you must buy a normal 510 charging cable for them. Never use a 510-T auto battery cable to charge any other kind of battery - only for 510-T auto batteries. There is something odd about real 510-T auto charging cables that can seriously damage as in possibly melt other 510 batteries.

And maybe your liquid isn't wicking well to the atomizer coil. Assuming your liquid is suitable thinness - look for Youtube videos re fixing a 510-T or Ego-T wick. Some need to reposition the wick.

Also - have you been using it for a week? If so and it only recently because hard to vape - do you ever clean your atomizer?

Other than that - yes tanks can leak. I don't use them, can't help you specifically on tank problems. I think about 50% end up switching to cartomizers. Try Boge 510 3 ohm cartomizers (the most popular cartos for slim 510 and slim batteries can only use standard resistance (around 2.5 to 3 ohms), not the hotter lower ohms ones the big batteries like Ego can use.

And what kind of juice are you using? Tanks like the thinness of PG w/ 30% VG or less. But 100% PG may be more prone to leaking.

And just in general - yes big devices give an easier hit and manuals give and easier hit than autos.

I was thinking about contacting the vendor, I just wasn't sure if it was operator malfunction or not :)

I have a manual and I've been using many different juices, some thin, some thick. It's been just as hard to pull since the start, and no I haven't cleaned the atomizer yet. I am a heavy smoker and would like to rely fully on my e-cig and give up analogs. Therefore, I went with the tank so I wouldn't have to refill constantly. But halfway into vaping (my friend has been helping me with the terminology) it starts to pull through the sides of the tank, even when brand-new.

With the cartomizer, can I use the juice I have? I like the range of flavors I've purchased and wouldn't want to switch to the regular flavors.

Thanks :)

I think 510-T tanks hold 1/2 as much (1/2 ml) as the smallest cartomizers (1 ml). Of course you do have to keep cartos damp (at least 1/3 filled to be safe) and it's harder to learn when they need liquid (unless you get clear ones like the Deluxe Fluxomizers at GotVapes - like most reservoir cartos those need a syringe BTW and you should use something between 2.5 and 3 ohms preferably with juices that have 30% or less VG). And I recommend the most popular 510 cartos, Boge 510 (the standard resistance ones around 3 ohms, with juices that have 20% or less VG though 30% will work).

Good choice with manuals. You can do these searches or variations at Google.com to pull up previous ECF thread re 510-T problems

Boge 510 cartos are notched across the center post to help air get to the bottom hole and my Joye brand 510 manuals have 4 notches in the edge.

My Deluxe Fluxomizers I have not tried yet are at home - I can't see what they look like.

And when vaping a manual, press the button in 1-2 seconds early, then start dragging slowly, then let up the button just before the end of you drag, finish drag, and inhale.

So try some cartomizers on your manuals, and you could also try a normal 510 atomizer and drip tip for testing juices (or some like to vape that way - lots of vapor). You want a standard resistance atomizer.

Because of their very short charge (180mah) the short 510 batteries have a short voltage plateau where the voltage is good and then power drops off at the end as with most batteries. The Joye 510 mega xl manuals are long but 280mah and have a longer good voltage plateau.

Other options...

But the voltage is around 3.4v on a Joye 510 and that's a bit weak compared to a KR808D-1 where the voltage is 3.7 volts (3.6 for some), and KR808D-1 has many 2.5-2.6ohm cartomizers (the low end of standard resistance) and I think can give vapor more consistently but I recommend the standard aka 78mm batteries for 120mm ecig. I actually recommend Vapor4Life manuals (for the 10-13 second max drag allowed vs normal 5 seconds) but the cartomizers from Bloogplanet or SmokelessImage is you want easier drag and more vapor. They and I use juices that are 80PG/20VG in these and I use some 90PG/10VG too.

Alternately

The big 3.7v 510-threaded batteries like the Riva 510 kits at Liberty-Flights.com (press the 20% off first, upper left front page, and then look at the prices) - they are higher voltage than Ego and will get more vapor out of 510's stuff (and in addition can use the hotter LR stuff). BTW never use an EGo or Ruva charger to charge slim 510 (too many mA and can damage slim 510)

Another 3.7v option would be a $20 3.7v mod box (add to that a pair of $5 protected 14500 batteries to swap and a charger for those which would be $10-12) and you have a nice little box mod (see ECF Buying & Selling/ Modders and Accessories section - like Krimson Kustoms is one who makes those).

I'll check into the type-b atomizer, but I am itching to try a cartomizer now. I am also going to order a low resistance atomizer, to see if that helps any with how hard I have to draw. I like things to be fairly easy with my hectic schedule and the disposable cartomizers sound very appealing right now.

Also, what would be the difference in a dual coil atomizer v. the single?

Thank you again for all the help!
