Bought an eGo from a Cdn online supplier (named a distributor on joyetech site) but the cig, box & paper insert do not mention joyetech, only eGo. Seller advised in writing that it was authentic joyetech. Seller advised manufacturer changed branding 4-6 months ago and this is an older model with no branding. Thoughts??? Oh, within 30 min of first charge, both battery & charger got so pretty hot so I unplugged - scary!! Thanks.

Which supplier did you get it from, the only one i've seen on ECF and Joytech site would be CEVstore. I've ordered from them and never had a problem.

On a side note come join us in the Canada Forum after you get your 5th post you should have access to post in there after about an hour.

Also there may be more users in that forum familar with the other suppliers listed on Joyetech site.

Hi, the box only says eGo, nothing about Joytech. Same for paper insert & charger. Trust me, I've examined everything carefully. Just am disappointed b'cause I purchased from this supplier as he was listed as a distributor on Joyetech site. Guess I learned the hard way. I ret'd it due to overheating charger & batter so hopefully will receive some sort of refund.

A lot of distributors and vendors will manufacture they're own version of specific models. Some are very good like Ovale I have heard, and some not so much (cheaply made) I myself have a non-authentic Joyetech EGO-C, and it works excellently. Was kind of skeptical at first, but I saved a lot of money on a product that functions just as well. If there are issues with heating, then I definitely would not be using it any further. For safety reasons. Those things go boooom..
