How to Build the Puck e-Cig Battery Mod - Part 1 - The PUCK eCig Mod

1- Is this Battery safe from exploded on my face in high drain of e-cig???? If i press for long time it will explode?
2- Is this battery safe from exploded if i left it on charger all night? Did it will take the charger enough and stop? Or will explode?
3- It must take 4 hour to charge but it dos not take that time. it take about half hour and signal on charger lcd is full (it mean charge is completed). and battery get some hot... i get out and get back in it start again charge.. after some time make the same thing..WHY? Is it wrong?
4- Did i must let it after make full sign to complete 4 hour with out take care of charger sign?
5- Some time (not always) i hear sound from battery like "tek..tek..tek" if i get out charger and get back in the sound stop..WHY? Is it wrong?
6- Did this battery have memory or i can but and get out at any time of my mind? or i must respect the 4 hour charger?

Hi. I've used NiMH for quite a few things, including a couple of Puck e-cigs that I made. I'll try to give you some of my experience.

1- Is this Battery safe from exploded on my face in high drain of e-cig???? If i press for long time it will explode?

NiMH handle high-drain devices rather well. They have been used for years to drive various small motors and other demanding applications. AA batteries should handle 1.5 ohms at 5 volts just fine, and I've used mine like that many times. I don't like to run AAAs with low-resistance cartos, but I have with no problems.

2- Is this battery safe from exploded if i left it on charger all night? Did it will take the charger enough and stop? Or will explode?

These batteries have been used in many devices (in battery packs) that sit on a charger whenever not in use, for years. As long as you have a decent charger, they should be fine. The charger that you linked to looks like it has good safeguards. I don't like the fact that it seems that you can only charge 2 or 4 at once, though. I think that 1 to 4 (each bay is individually monitored) chargers are safer.

3- It must take 4 hour to charge but it dos not take that time. it take about half hour and signal on charger lcd is full (it mean charge is completed). and battery get some hot... i get out and get back in it start again charge.. after some time make the same thing..WHY? Is it wrong?

I have a 15 minute charger for my NiMH batteries, which has a fan built-in, and they get quite warm. The charger that you linked to should take longer than 1/2 hour, though. They should not get too hot to hold in your hand loosely. What you describe does not seem right.

4- Did i must let it after make full sign to complete 4 hour with out take care of charger sign?

Take them out after the charging indicator show that they are charged. Trickle-charging should not hurt them, but also does not help much.

5- Some time (not always) i hear sound from battery like "tek..tek..tek" if i get out charger and get back in the sound stop..WHY? Is it wrong?

If the batteries are making noise, then something is wrong. If the charger is making that noise, then it may be OK, but I'm not sure why a charger would make that noise... A timer, possibly, but that seems unlikely to me.

6- Did this battery have memory or i can but and get out at any time of my mind? or i must respect the 4 hour charger?

NiMH don't have memory problems like Ni-cads did. They should work fine with quick charges.

Be careful when using these in series, that you do not completely discharge any of the cells. It's possible to damage them that way. Recharge them when they start to perform poorly.

-about N.3. the information on charger it say it take 4 hour to full charge but it take about half hour and get (some hot not too hot i can get in my hand normal) and get full charge (maybe because of that hot besauce charger has temp control as it say and maybe battery want littel charge?? i am not sure) but why it take that low time to charge. I do not know..
