AGREED! I almost posted the same things Thundernoggin stated - he just did it SO much better than I would have. He's trying to help - and shouldn't be slammed for it. When we mostly hang on the NT forum, we do lose a teeny bit of perspective. I get the love here, the family thing, sometimes it just doesn't translate well to others. Probably nothing we can do about that. It is what it is. It's just another fun contest, not a whizzing match. Maybe the rules are a little wonky on this particular contest, it happens. Be gracious, whether you win, lose, or are not in the competition.

In "OUR" opinion Clark's juice is the greatest! But it doesn't mean others can't think theirs the greatest, too! And no one is the best at EVERYTHING, there is always room for improvement and invention. If there isn't a SWEEP this year, work on next year!

My husband vapes ONLY Nicoticket, I love Nicoticket, but I also like to mix it up and have juice from just about everywhere. If we can live in the same house and stay married to each other for 40 years, I think the rest of us can get along just fine. It's not worth alienating anyone or having harsh words over. It's another ECF contest.

Gosh, I hope I don't have remorse after posting this - I love my NT family and Clark. And I am on pain meds from a dental surgery this morning that did not go well at all.
I'm just speaking for myself as an old lady who knows a little something about what is worth fighting over and what just isn't. Nothing but love ......

I just read the thread that Mr Mann posted about TA not being a NET. It's is a closed thread that nobody can reply to anymore which is unfortunate. I would have to disagree with a couple of his key points.

First of all, not all TA's taste the same. This is the reason why some there are premium TA's on the market. Their flavor is much better and their prices reflect that. Also, you can buy TA that has already been diluted down or bulk TA which has not been diluted down. If you buy bulk, you have to dilute it and you have to strain it down, just like at NET. For those of you that have not seen pure TA, it is a black, thick paste. If it is not strained, a few drops would murder your coils.

To say that you can not identify the strain of tobacco that TA comes from could very well be said of a soaked NET. I could mix you up 10 samples of single leaf NETs and ask you to name the tobacco used and the vast majority of people would not be able to name just one without getting a lucky guess. I can also mix up pipe blends and cigars then run the same test and the results would be the same. I could then throw in a TA liquid and not many would be able to pick it out either. I can use the same species of leaf as another person uses and get a total different flavor when the flavor should be exactly the same. The reason for this is due to the process of straining but more so due to the soil it was grown in. Tobacco takes some if it's profile from them soil it is grown in hence if the plants used in TA where grown in different regions, states, countries or even counties than they will take on a distinct flavor profile from that soil. Perique is a good example of a tobacco that gets some of it's flavor from the soil it is/was grown in. St James Parish in Louisiana is the only place where this can be grown to give it the true St James Parish Perique taste.

It's not really a forum wide award - it's a poll for a dozen people who troll a single thread in search of the best soak. They are absolutely right - if we pushed, we'd win by virtue of the fact that we put any amount of effort - it's a function of penetration - none of the vendors that have been put forth have the wide-spread support that Nicoticket has. I guess since I specialize in vanilla and naturally-extracted tobacco I thought we should be included - but honestly, I don't care. LMAO I encourage you all to participate - there's LOTS of good NET liquid on the market, not just mine! I'm stoked to see the results - I purchased several of the "other" liquids from the Best of ECF Members Choice Awards and I found a couple I enjoy - I expect the same will hold true of the NETtys. I'm actually more interested in NOT winning so try the NET liquid that that particular population considers "legit". (totally in the service of doing it better, and then giving each and every one of them a good reason to try Nicoticket!)

I think Clark's marketing works just fine. I didn't have anything I really liked and saw all the awards won so I ordered some and; [HASHTAG]#INFECTED[/HASHTAG]. I've had some other folks juices along the way and haven't had any that compare and I'm happy enough that I don't need to spend much time looking for something else. I don't like them all and I'm sure there's something better out there somewhere, I just don't see a need to try a bunch of things to find out if I'm right.

I didn't want or need any drama either - I just thought it was strange. I had no idea there was some sort of invisible threshold to be considered a NET eLiquid producer. Our NET tobacco is legit - and it's damn tasty. TA is a major component of what we do, as is synthetic tobacco flavoring. We use ALL the tools we have at our disposal to make the best liquid we can!~

Exactly what I just posted in that awards thread. Any awards thing here is a complete waste. There is always people that feel only their favorites should be on top and if they aren't well obviously the one that is cheating in one way or another. It would be best to do away with all the awards nonsense and let the dollar do the voting.

This just seems really childish. NT would win without a mass email to their customers. They probably have the largest joose following on ECF. And thats what all 'polls' on ECF boil down to. Who has the largest following. A tiny fraction of total vapors in this world know about ECF. Thats a poll I'd like to see. How many vapors worldwide have heard of ECF? None of the vapors I talked to in Florida a few months ago have heard of ECF or Nicoticket. None of the people Ive talked to in B&M's have heard of ECF or Nicoticket. The fact that some people on that thread seem to be genuinely upset over this makes me LOL

Here's my for what it's worth (really only about 2 cents...)
The folks that run the NETty awards are hardcore tobacco enthusiasts. This is their poll, and they can run it however they want. I don't know enough about the processing to have any educated opinion on whether TA alone should be allowed. They said no, so, fine. NT has made some "true" NET juices, and therefore should be considered a NET vendor.
Now, NT only offers a few NET juices, and therefore is really no match for some other vendors who specialize in NET juices- I'm talking about the folks who can tell where certain tobacco was grown, and discuss at length the different flavor characteristics of various types of tobacco, casings, etc etc. NT is not going to sweep these awards. Have you seen the categories?
I love NT. I love NETs too (they were what really got me through the first few weeks of not smoking cigs, but I don't vape them much anymore), and if I were to vote, NT would not get 1st place in many of the categories. But, NT is a NET vendor, and some folks who are really into NETs might really enjoy NT NETs (and other juices). Seems the point of the poll should be for people to discover new juices/vendors that produce the kind of juice they're into.
BUT, it's disappointing to see folks going over there and throwing a fit about the way they're running the poll. Some people are hating on NT? Who cares? The haters aren't going to make or break NT as a company, and we're just making it worse by trolling.
I just don't know why either "side" is getting their panties all in a bunch over a tiny poll in one very small corner of ECF.
