Pretty much what the title says. I'm looking to pick up either an eGO or a Tornado, which as I understand it, are one in the same.

Any advantage over one over the other?

From what I can gather, with the eGO you get a faster charger, with the Tornado you get an extra atty.

Also, regarding atty's...Dura/ Titan atty's are 510 atty's, correct? Is there anything particularly special about the TW/ Janty atty's? Because they are quite a bit more expensive than other 510 atty's that I've seen at other vendors.

As long as the atties are Joye 510s, you should be fine. There are other 510s out there which are not 100% compatible. Both Janty and TW atties are Joye. Janty is said to have something special about the coil, though, and I do find them to be slightly better than other Joyes; could just be a working quality control, though.
Also do check the warranty: A Janty atty may be more expensive, for example, but it does come with a 6-months warranty, which obviously increases its price. Although Janty has no-warranty atties which are cheaper, too. (Unlike that other company, no warranty still means they will exchange DOAs, though.)

Janty Europe has 5-packs, I ordered some yesterday. If Janty US doesn't have them yet, they will have soon. 5-packs where DOAs will be replaced …

eGo and Tornardo do charge the same - if they are on the same charger. Unfortunately, the TW comes with a much slower 510 charger and an adapter for it, and you have to pay extra for a fast eGo charger. The Janty sets come with the faster charger out of the box, and no adapter, either, since it isn't needed.

The only reason I went with the Tornado instead of the eGo, is because I really much prefer the look of the "Platinum" one, so was the one I wanted. (And at the time, Janty were unfortunately only offering them in Black ). ...
I also really don't mind the "little devil" logo, at all ! (Especially with a full on "Reborn Christian" family ~ Should prove amusing ! (Ha!) :D ...

The only advantage I think Janty has over TW is their much superior customer service, which really is flawless !
But as far as the "extra cost" for the better 6month warranty: I have actually never, to date, needed to use a/the warranty, except for DOA attys/batts. (And both cover that eventuality !) So it's something I don't particularly miss (or think I should therefore pay extra for !)

Im excited i order the tornado this afternoon!!!! I wanted the ego, was told that the 2 are the same and i couldnt wait any longer, so i ordered with TW....Now im sad because i didnt know it had the devil on it, oh well life goes on. I hope it is everything i want it to be.
Fingers are crossed

Tara

Tara, don't be sad ! ... The "little devil logo" is really pretty inconspicuous, you hardly notice it at all, it being just at the very bottom of the battery. ... Besides, if you decide you really don't like it, and would rather not have it at all. You can easily solve this, with a little bit of sandpaper & circular sanding, which should get rid of it with not much effort (or actual damage). ... (Though I would suggest you only do this once TW's warranty period has "worn off", so as to not void the warranty on the batt' :)) ...
Either way, I'm pretty sure you gonna luv your TorneGo. ;)
