My eGo-T is falling apart.
I don't wanna dig too far down the mods-swamp.
I just would like to have a reliable PV.
REO is far from perfect and have I have seen problems on reviews but I think I would like it.

My problem is not the cost of the actuall mini device, but the other needed gear I need.

From Reosmods.com

REO mini = $139.00
4x Atomizers = 20$
8x Extra 3ml bottles = $5.2
Shipping to Europe = $25

Lighthound.com
4x AW IMR 14500 batteries = $30
Cheapest Charger I cound find, Ultrafire WF-139 Charger = $17.99
Shipping to Europe = $15.95

Total cost is $253

Isn't that alot of money? :(

I also transitioned from an EGO-T to a REO as well. While the initial cost is sort of steep. You have to think about the quality of the device your getting and durability. It's the only bottom feeder that's made from aircraft aluminum. Which will stand up to any type of abuse you can put it through. For example, people have dropped it from 20ft in the air, dropped it in water, ran over it with a truck, etc. and their REO's still worked. Therefore, you will NEVER have to worry about breaking your REO from an accident.

They are also made to last a lifetime along with a 1 yr warranty. Although, if you have serious problems with your REO then Rob will stand behind his product and help you out as best as he can. Not much mod producers out there that will give you such customer service.

The cost will equal out over time since the only thing you need to replace afterwards is batteries, atomizer/cartomizer's, and juice. Performance is hard to beat since I consider this the best bottom feeder out there on the market. If you smoked a pack a day then the final cost of a REO would be about the same as you would pay for cigs for a given month. If you smoked more than a pack then your still saving money in general.

Overall, you can NOT go wrong with getting a REO. It has the same concept as an EGO-T in that it's easy to use and will not require much maintenance. A REO mini will hold 3ml of juice that will more than likely last you all day. If you think that's not enough then I HIGHLY suggest you get a Grand. Which will hold 6ml of juice and the 18650 battery will last you 8-12 hrs. Personally, it lasts 24hrs for me.

Having a reliable pv brings your costs down. I said this in another thread:

Except for buying multiple REOs, which are (after the first back-up) a "want" more than a "need", my monthly costs are about $35-$40. I have an all day juice and an atty that works well with it. My REOs just plain work, and work well. Life is good! :)

The REO has given me the best and most reliable performance of all PVs that I have tried (510, eGo, eGo T, and one other that I do not remember the model). It has been my cheapest PV averaged out over a few months and I only got mine in February or March. Before getting the REO I was almost ready to go back to analogs. Also ask yourself "How many cigs can I get for $253 and how long would those last me?" Just ask Rob to test your REO before sending it out. I had to return my husband's for adjustment when we first got it.

It is a lot, all at once, but you would be replacing atomizers and batteries with any pv, so you shouldn't count them against the reo. Actually, the eGO battery is more expensive than the AW and the AWs seem to hold up longer...my original 3 are still going strong since April (I had 5 or 6 eGO batteries quit, either just stop firing or charging, over one year's heavy use.)

It takes a while to get the initial outlay back, but you will. The 510 atomizer size is so common that you won't have to order from the States again & pay extra for shipping, and you'll have a solid, reliable pv that is simple to use and nearly impossible to damage.

You say Reo is FAR from perfect. I have found it to be CLOSER to perfect than any product I have ever purchased. Worth it , hell yes.

Another eGo-T -> REO here. Get a Grand. You don't need 8 extra bottles. I have a single spare bottle and although it's full, it never gets used. I just keep refilling the one that's in there. It's no harder than refilling an eGo Tank. If you get the AW IMR 18650's, 2 is all you really need. You don't need to drop $250+ to get going... but even if you did, it'd be totally worth it.

I'm also an ego-T convert. Initial price may be steep, but as already stated a Reo will last you forever. Since I got my Reo I no longer am searching the forums for "what's next". I also recommend the Grand, these 18650 batteries last all day and a full bottle of juice lasts me more than a day.

I understand your concerns, but you're going to need to pay for batteries for 99% of the mods available, so that's not an issue exclusive to the REO. You're going to need to pay for atties for 100% of the mods you could buy.

I don't know how much shipping is within the EU, but all mods made on this side of the Atlantic are going to come with the same--or nearly the same-shipping charges.

I would also echo Dave's sentiments. If you're going to invest, I prefer the Grand--that 18650 battery is a monster. If portability is a big issue, get the mini.

I own a grande and a mini and I'm not aware of these problems you mention. I don't know of anyone who regrets their purchase of a Reo other than the fact they can't stop buying more of them. They're well worth the money and if you haven't noticed Rob (the mod maker) can't even make them fast enough to keep the demand supplied that should tell you something.
Like dave said you could cut out some of that cost there is cheaper chargers and 2 batts is all you really need but you got $40 alone in shipping. These mods are indesructible you wont be disappointed

How are you going to label a mod as "far from perfect" when you haven't tried one? :?:

As far as reviewers go, the only negative they can zero in on is the door rattle. That's easily enough fixed by a variety of quick and easy methods, but it doesn't even rattle unless you shake it like a polaroid picture.

I agree with all above posts.
Any mod you get, you'll be buying batts and chargers. The nice thing about the Reo, is that you can buy the batts and charger before hand. Same with the attys and cartos (which you're buying if you vape, that's a given).

If you get the Reo Grand, the 6ml sample bottles from places such as PinkSpotVapors fits into it perfectly. Just uncap and insert. Easy Peasy. No need to buy extra bottles.

My Reo Grand loves Boba's Bounty, and MsTsBakerys thicker juices. I can't say that with cartos and carto tanks. (unless I thin the juice, which I prefer not to do).

Breaking it down, it's not that expensive for a mod that will last a lifetime. The Reo Grand is built to last! It's not bendy aluminum... it's AIRCRAFT aluminum... the kind of aluminum that can fly through the air at thousands of pounds of pressure per sq inch. It's a sturdy little booger. It's also all mechanical... absolutely zero wires to jiggle lose.

Best of luck, and I hope a Reo finds it's way to you in time.

When you think about it, you do have to pay a lot up front just to start using e-cigs. A decent starter kit can cost $50-60 and that doesn't include extra juice or atomizers usually. You could have theoretically just bought a carton of cigarettes with that kind of money. And going from a mass produced e-cig to a limited production mod requires that same upfront investment. But higher quality most often does carry a higher price tag. I've only had my REO for a week so far, and I have no regrets about my purchase.

If by far you mean so close to perfect they can smell each other ..... :D

They are not for everyone, but there are many here that find the REO perfect "for them".

I am one of them, I would not nor could not think of one thing I would change.

They make and excellent trouble free get on with life kind of device. I don't think you would be disappointed with one.

Hi Trial and Error,

Compared to smoking - NO! In NY one carton of cigarettes (10 packs) costs $115 to $120 dollars a carton. For a one pack a day smoker, this is 10 days of smoking.

Any money you spend on vaping gives you a greater return on your investment than smoking! All PVs and their consumables (atties, cartomizers, juices, batteries) give you way more for your money than cigarettes.

Now, instead of smelly ashtrays full of ugly cigarette butts, I have stylish REOS, drip tips, great juice flavors, rechargable batteries and chargers. Much better than only having "ashes" left after use ;)

After the initial layout, it will be smooth sailing and I am sure you will enjoy the ride :)

Happy Vaping :)

I some what agree with you, however I was spending 5-600$ per month on analogs sooooo either way its an investment and the Reo always holds its value..I say go for it;)
