NOW the question is if everyone gets a mislabeled cart like lets say peanut butter carto with grapefruit liquid.... does the majority rule out subjectivity? or is it just a bunch of people with the same subjective taste, because one thinks it tastes like redbullz?

I think you'll find a substantial number believe it tastes like peanut butter, because their brain has been impressed with that notion.

Remember, there is NO "peanut butter" taste-bud. There's sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and (arguably) savory - PERIOD. Every "taste" is created by the brain from those inputs. Smell, sight, sound, ... the other senses help pre-dispose the brain to weight those inputs according to experience.

And yes - that means there is no "redbull tastebud". :) And that's why unknown white meats tend to "taste like chicken". The texture and appearance of the meat triggers a response in the brain that runs the software that first experienced that texture, appearance, smell, etc. Most commonly - that's chicken.

I suspect that's why cartos will taste different from day to day or hour to hour. If you roll the vapor across different receptors first, the brain weights that receptor more highly. Alas, that experiment is nearly impossible to establish a control for...

I am of the camp that believes we are not tasting anything..we smell it! There are flavors of course but not unless unless we take a sip..when we vape the atomized end product, we are getting the "idea" of the flavor.
Most of us fried our taste buds..if you don't believe me after you have been analog free for a while, go to McDonalds! It's vile!
When I first started vaping I couldn't "taste" the fruit flavors..they were at best weak. I had to punch them up with Lorann's candy flavors. Now, vaping the very same flavors at the same Nic levels ,11mg's they seem just right..8 months down the road.
Oh, and to me the cinnamon roll tastes very cinnamony with a hint of something smooth tasting. (not sure what it is) The Doc Pepper tastes like a rootbeer barrel candy and Pear is as yummy and fresh as ever.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that statement. I don't taste anything until my nose gets involved with the vaping on the exhale. I just tried this with several flavors and all I can detect in the mouth, is sweetness, nothing else, on the exhale, then I get the "flavor", rather... scent.

I spend the majority of my free time with Rockerella, and we trade A LOT of carts. I recently became the proud owner of a bunch of the CM Frapp carts because in her opinion "They taste like ...!"

I have to agree with your friend Rocherella. I got a free 5ml bottle of the CM Frapp, filled a fresh blank cart, and Ewww... tastes like overcooked Onion Rings??? :nah:

It's funny, because I LOVE the coffee. I thought at first it was because I was drinking a soda at the time, but this morning, it still tastes like onion rings. Not something I want to vape! Real disappointment too, as I was looking forward to getting it. Glad I got the freebie!
