Is the eGo a good choice?

Happy Vaper sells the eGo kit for $100 and I was wondering if its a good choice... I live in Canada so I don't think I have many places to chose from. I've never tried e-cigarettes before and want something solid enough to not break if I drop it. Some people have been suggesting the 501 but it seems that the eGo is good with battery life. What do you guys think?

Thanks

I have the eGo from happy vaper and am very pleased with it, dont forget that there is a 20.00 discount if you use the MYHAPPYEGO discount code when purchasing the eGo. I have the 510 as well but I find that the slightly higher price of the eGo is worth it for the long battery life that the batteries provide vs the 510 batteries.

There are other Canadian vendors carrying the eGo as well. A couple that I am aware of are
electronic-cigz - he has the automatic version of the Janty eGo as well if you prefer. He also carries e-liquid which his site states is US made as well.

evapers He also carries e-liquid.

All the best and Happy Vaping.
Wing.

eGo is a great kit. It is a 510 atomizer btw, so it is a 510 just with a bigger battery and a cone, or as they say a 510 on steriods. I take it that is $100 Canadian? Just checked, yes CAD $. As WingCommander pointed out, use the discount code MYHAPPYEGO

As far as dropping it. Well yes the battery is susceptible to breaking if dropped. I have a lanyard that is looped around it, and then the cone is screwed down tight to hold it. I hang it around my neck and have it under my shirt. Use it with a 510 cartomizer also.

Get some juice samples to try also!

Jack at Happy Vaper - Canadian Quality Electronic Cigarette/Personal Vaporizers and DIY Smoke Liquid is my #1 Canadian go to guy for gear and my DYI supplies. No one I know of has more flavors. Jacks customer service is the best answers questions all times of the day and night is a great vapers resource. I think I have emailed him more than my Mom this year lol don't tell her.All of my orders have come in 2 or 3 days he is who I order from if I want it now. I have a Happy 510 and a Happy Ego love them both but my main unit is the Ego. The battery life is amazing. I find the juice tastes better fits comfortably in my hand. I like the Ego so much in fact that I will have it in 4 colors soon.
And yes Jolly his prices are in Canadian but last time I checked we were at par with you so that shouldn't be an issue.
A very Happy Vaper and Mixer

If I were to start out over again I would only consider a Joye 510 ( and a ego for the long battery life) or a DSE901 ( and a DSE905 for the long battery life). I have tried Greensmoke, Bloog, and Vapor king but found that I enjoyed the vapor and throat hit of the DSE901 to my liking. I vape 18 mg and mix my juice with 30% VG, as I have found that full PG is a bit of a sinus irritant for me.
If you go with either, spend a few minutes reviewing the cart mods as the straw method works great and lets you put almost double the juice in the cart. The battery life on the DSE901 auto batteries, for me, is about 4 hours with a recharge of about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. With my DSE905 I can go 12 hours between batteries and vape like a banshee. The vapor quantity is only slightly increased with the DSE905 but you got to love the battery life. I still keep to 3.7 v and HR atomizers as I have heard that if you start vaping at higher voltage it is hard to go back to 3.7 V. There are probably some who will argue this, but that's my personal opinion.

Good luck with your purchase.

The Riva is a clone of the eGo and has 750mah batteries vs. 650mah, 15% more capacity. Only costs $60 and is very similar in style. vaporjunction.com

Hello 016 is a sorta-clone, as in it looks like but isn't interchangeable and is designed a bit different. But its 1300mah and 50 bucks! madvapes.com

both are from suppliers I've made purchases from although not for the Riva or Hello 016. I have no idea if they ship to Canada or how much it costs. I know other suppliers have the Riva and I'd expect the Hello to show up other places soon also.

wherever you choose to get your eGo from, it's an amazing PV device and i think you'll be thrilled with it. it's got a great battery life, durable and it's easy to travel with!

once you get the hang of it, i recommend trying out a low-resistance atomizer paired with a drip-tip (which i believe HappyVaper sells as well). it'll take your eGo experience to a whole different level! ;)

I think if you just order hardware Customs doesn't bother , but if there is any e-juice you just may have it confiscated. I order all my juice from Canada but did manage to get 2 bottles from Vapor King a couple of weeks ago. I was willing to forfeit just to see if the order got through in case my Canadian vendors get shutdown. Geez, you would think we were ordering crack the way Customs deals with e-cig stuff.

I can recommend the ego as a good 1st pv, battery life and cone are the major benefits imo. On the negative side the 3.17v running voltage and the accidental button activation are a bit of a drag, but hey it was my 1st and I usually tote it about as a higher nic/ public use/ discreet backup.

best thing about ego is it lasts all day --no battery hassles. its a bit heavy and people seem to think i have a pipe in my hand--it looks about like a "magic marker" or fat felt tip pen.

with 510 atomizers and the "PTB" (tea bag) filler mod it lasts long enough to have the least hassles of the 4 or so models i have tried.
