Groove was in my mailbox when I got home. Very light, but feels very sturdy and well built for being a hard plastic. Shiny/glossy and hard like a black piano key. Not the biggest fan of the gloss....finger print magnet. I'll probably find some stickers for it or grippy kind of wrap. The "Groove" logo is a bit loud also. A little bit on the big side, especially compared to the Gripper. User interface is a pleasure to operate. The button/switch is clicky yet solid. The "+ -" buttons are a bit rattly as to be expected. My first impressions is that I'm impressed with the build quality, functionality, and light weight. It's a bit slick and on the larger side. All and all, I think it's pretty cool and I'm happy with my purchase.

Nice. Thanks. After my gripper died, I transplanted it into a tin, but the firing button was giving me some hassle (my fault, I had to solder the connection), so I ended up getting a Varicool as a replacement, and alternative to my provari. These look great, but I'm hesitant about shelling out another 70 bucks, if they turn out to fail or have issues.
