Is there a 18500 that performs like a MNKE?

Hello All,

Sorry to post this in general e-smoking but I could not find a specific battery thread. I recently was introduced to the MNKE 18650 and I love how the voltage output remains very consistent over the cycle of the battery. Unfortunately MNKE currently only sells an 18650 and a 26650. Does anyone know of a battery that performs like a MNKE but in 18490/18500 form factor? I am aware of the AWs but they are not quite as good with the output voltage as the MNKE.

good point. there should be a Battery sub-forum here on ECF. we've got sub-categories for everything under the sun, but i'll be damned if i can find a battery sub-forum here. strange. very strange indeed. and while we're at it....why is it called General E-SMOKING Forum?? me thinks General vaping Forum is more appropriate.

sorry i cant help with your MNKE question. i agree it would be a nice batt to have, but im happy with my 18490/350 AWs (and EFests too for that matter).

You sure about that....? I think AW's are as good or better.....

I have been using AWs since the day I started using tube mods over a year ago. I have no problem with them, however the discharge rate isn't up to par with a MNKE.

I use my AW IMR 18490 outside of the house a lot and sometimes, as the battery dips below 3.8v I can feel the bottom cap start to heat up. However, what really starts to scare me sometimes is some weird short from any location within the body causing a spot on my hand to start to feel really hot.

MNKEs are just best for the 0.2-0.8Ω range. Otherwise AWs are perfect.
