I've been searching around looking for a clear tube for the nova that can hold up to liquids that crack the stock tubes. I have a metal one but it's impossible to tell how much juice is left unless i unscrew the lid. It'd be nice to know at a glance how much is in there and where the wicks are oriented.

I've scoured the google machine and the forums here with no definitive answer. Are there any confirmed clear tubes that will work for my needs?

smoktek sells an acrylic tube and says it will hold up but I haven't found any reviews on acrylic for the nova.

Hi and welcome. Polycarbonate and acrylic are incompatible with "tank cracking" liquids. If you want to use a vivi nova, currently your only option is to get one of their metal tubes. The model that is metal with a window to see the juice level will also crack, as the window is made of polycarbonate.

ETA: This is what my cinnamon vape did to the acrylic caps on a tank:

what juice flavors are know to do this, i ask because i am afraid i just might have order some that has not show up yet, lemon lime, champagne, vanilla bourbon, and brandy. I hope not i only have two mini nova tanks on hand right now. hate to mess one up and not have a back up and no cash right now to buy better tanks.

This is an on-going list. It isn't complete and some people may not have a noticeable problem with a juice listed if they frequently switch flavors. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tanks/219179-lets-make-list-juices-flavors-crack-tanks-ce2s-clearos-33.html

The first thing I noticed when my vivi mini started dying was fine hair-like threads coming off of the grooves where the top cap screwed on. The bottom of the drip tip also became soft and mushy. I didn't realize how badly the mini was injured until I took it outside to photograph it:

Dead on the L, new on the R:

I had the same experience with my Vivi- first it would "fog" over and next just fall apart. There is a new glass tank about to be released. Won't buy it though until it's been out for awhile.

Edward from Sun-Vapers worked with Kanger on designing the Protank (he previous worked with them to design the Baby T3). He also did a video about the Protank (unfortunately rather long and technical) but he does note that China is beginning to get a clue that consumers want pyrex equipment and would be willing to pay more for devices that lasted longer.

I am waiting for a nova with a glass tank. The way technology is going it shouldn't be long before someone gets very rich making them.
Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen. OCD is the glass master at IBTanked. He is responsible the the high quality tanks that come from there, and also has been supplying replacement pyrex tubes for many of the new rebuildables (RBA's).

He did look into supplying replacement pyrex tubes for the Vivi Nova's but said it would be a no go. The cost to him and to the buyer would be too prohibitive because of the threaded screw on caps that those use.

Staying on topic, the first article in my blog covers all the options available for using the flavors known as clearo-killers and tank-crackers. You can find this article and other useful topics by clicking on the link below my avatar. Once there, click on the title to pull up the article.
