Is there a Health Canada crackdown?

Hi fellow Canadian vapers,

In the past couple of weeks I've had a shipment form AnyCig sent back and shipments from Greenhouseone and ecig Unlimited stuck in customs forever!!! Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

I think its time to go DIY, could someone PM me with a supplier with 100mg mixing liquid in Canada? It would be MUCH appreciated!

I second this ... i'd love to find some 100mg juice here in Canada as well.

Over the border seems to be our only option so far though.

I haven't heard much of anything regarding AnyCig or ecig Unlimited... Have you order from them before? Usually not a good idea to blindly order internationally unless the company has a decent history of getting past customs.

I've at least heard of GreenhouseOne, so that bodes well. I can't vouch for them sneaking past customs myself, however...

any cig are cool, but I wouldn't touch Ecig unlimited with a 10 foot pole.

You need to order that from the US.

Without starting another debate about the safety of 100mg (again), it presents risks to the retailers so to the best of my knowledge no Canadian retailers are (openly) carrying the product, if for no other reason than to limit their liability.

Also to note, Dekang the major producer of e-juice doesn’t offer anything stronger than 28mg, even on special order. They too do this for liability reasons. With purchasing 100mg you really need to look into the source of the juice.

Before a debate start on that, I’m sure for 1 million a company like Dekang would make you a batch. The information that they would not produce 100mg was from a conversation I had with my Dekang rep. They were unwilling to produce a special batch of any size for any amount stronger than 28mg, however they were willing to make custom flavored batches for us.

If you want to start DIY go with 36mg or even 0mg Nic. That's all you need to start. 100mg is not a recommended starting point.

The canpost updates are messed up again. My mailman confirmed it. No up dates and china packages still show up at my door. There's also the seasonal slowdown, Canada/US Thank Givings, Christmas inventories.. Currently I have one package from china in the Bermuda Triangle of postage. It disappeared after leaving china by air 10 days ago and hasn't posted in Canada yet. A small order under $20 bucks with Zero Nic, I'm sure it will show up eventually, lolz.

Yeah, I've ordered from AnyCig a few times and GH1 numerous times. Its my first order from Ecig Unlimited. Packages from the two latter have been showing "Being reviewed by Customs" since Oct 13th and 14th respectively on the Canada Post site...groan

You can't rely on what the site says right now. They're not scanning the items at every point of the system or it is partially down, or maybe they're not scanning every point to help seed up back-log, IDK. But the amount of time you've bee waiting is not uncommon. It may say "Being reviewed by Customs" till an hour after you have singed for it.

Either way unless they are opening every package that crosses, I think we will be okay.

Expect customs to let that order sit for anywhere from 7- 14 days. Sometimes it took me 10 days just to see my order get from GH1 to customs, then 14 days thru customs???? My 100mg order took 24 days from ship from vendor to my pick up at the local PO.

Ok your packages are not stuck in customs. Well sort of but the customs duties are being performed by Canada Post. Canada Post does not have the man power to check all the packages. They do their best, then when they have no more room to store the packages they are supposed to check, Canada Post releases all the mail and all of your stuff will show up pretty much on the same day. Customs has issued a public warning to the Government of Canada because when Canada Post does a release of mass mail due to the back log, drugs, illegal weapons and contra band slips through.

I think the dogs do the mass sniffing for contraband. Although there are new baggies that are "supposed" to be 100% osmosis free.

I've been poking around and NorthernVapor has 50mg (30ml) for 25 dollars (+8 shipping).

I haven't found anything lower than that for that potency.

It is available but the suppliers have asked me not to advertise the fact. Sorry but just respecting their wishes.
