Hi All ! I'm relatively new to vaping as I've only been at it for a little over 4 months !

My Question is: Is there a "Safe" way to clean my clearomizers ?

I've read about people using "Ultra-Sonic Jewelry Cleaners" to clean their "rba's" and wondered if this would work with clearomizers ? I do have 2 "rba's" (one is the "ZAP" and the other is a AGA-T2) I've been using the ZAP for a while and really like it but I haven't had to wrap a new coil yet. The AGA-T2 is still sitting unused as I haven't worked up the nerve to tackle building a wick and coil yet. I'm still watching video's and reading threads in preparation for the big day when I finally do work up the courage to give it a try.

I haven't bought a Ultra-Sonic Cleaner" yet but I'm been giving it some serious thought!

Any Advice ?

Thanks In Advance !:thumb:

I've just started trying the fruit flavored stuff and it's a real eye opener ! All these new juices to try which led me to ask about cleaning my clearo's ! So far I've avoided the citrus and cinnamon flavored stuff as I don't want to end up with cracked plastic tanks ! I just bought a AGA-T2 with a pyrex tank so once I get the art of coil making down I'll be able to expand my juice flavor experiments !

About drying clearomizers: Why?

If you give them a good hot rinse, them shake and blow them out, the water/alcohol left on the wick is fairly negligible, compared to the amount of juice when full. I've shook them out AND let them dry completely, and can't tell the difference when refilled.

Grantes, I'm fairly new, so I've only refilled each once or twice.

More to do with dirty coil? Can you really do a dry burn on a clearo without burning the wick?

I DO fully dry my Cartos.

I just empty it out with a shake or two, 1/3 fill with any clear alcohol, put the tip back on and shake. I repeat this until it comes out clear - typically two or three times. I follow with a hot tapwater rinse, shake it out and wipe it dry. About 5-10 five second burns and it's dried enough to refill. The alcohol dissolves more gunk and the water rinse eliminates any alcohol residue.

If production is falling off, it's good to remove the cover over the coil and continue doing burns for 5 seconds until you can see the entire coil glow red. Rinse again, burn off the water once more and you're good to go.

You can search on youtube for dry burning techniques too. Good luck!

I used to worry about the cleaning a lot myself. But since I mainly use my T-3 now I just take it apart and soak it it in VERY hot water several times. If the coil becomes too nasty to come clean, I either replace the head or make a new coil and wick for it.

I have not tried the everclear in one yet, but will try it to see if it comes clean.

How I clean my T2-
1. Rinse with very hot water until all the juice is gone(I have to use filtered or bottled water since my well water is very hard)
2. Shake/sling out the water/liquid, as much as possible, nothing too extreme
3. Remove the replaceable head and roll that in a paper towel until the wicks seem pretty dry
4. Little more drying of the tank and mouthpiece, roll small piece of paper towel around pencil and slide the tube of paper into the tank
5. After that's all pretty dry, soak all the parts in Everclear for a while, gotta kill the germs and old flavors, I use a cleaned pill bottle
6. Repeat steps 2-4, leave the coil/wick unit wrapped in paper towel also leave the towel in the tank and mothpiece
7. Tank is ready to go when it looks dry, coil/wicks take another day or two, I always swap them out anyways

This takes only 3-4 minutes of work, the rest is just soaking and drying time. Everclear is pretty expensive for cleaning fluid, but I reuse it many, many times. The hot water does most of the work. I don't vape cinnamon stuff so I can't say if my method removes those odors, but it works on everything I have tried so far.
