Is there a safety issue with mods/ batteries??

Hi all i just heard of someone who was vaping and had something blow up in his face...
Does anyone know Is there something i should know regarding safety with the mod?? Like battery type strength or whatever wattage or appropiate tank for mod or something.. what should or shouldnt i do?
Would appreciate the help sounds real scary..

I dont exactly know what a Mech mod is I have two mods an eleaf I power 80 Watts and a Pico 75 Watts I'm using a cleito 120 tank on my iPower and a cubis pro on my Pico I Vape around 55 Watts on my Pico and 80 Watts on my i power is that a problem do you know

The first thing you need to do is identify what battery you have. Ultimately, you need to know the amp limit of the battery and then calculate how much current you are drawing from it.

Exactly that.

Some 18650's go up to 30amps, and some are far far lower. Find out what you have and then go from there.
