I use mechs only and I have a few *cough*7*cough* I own m16 clone, two Blackhawk clones, Kamry 100, Kamry 101, copper panzer clone, and 4nine. Honestly I would recommend any of those except maybe the blackhawks and that's only because the adjustment pins require fiddeling.

They are all in my wishlist :) I was looking a Chi You I like the antique bronze look. Any idea how good Chi You is?

The chi you is just like the Blackhawk lots of fiddeling. None of of them are bad but it takes awhile to get the pins perfect

When using a mechanical mod, paying att'n to the amp limit of your battery, IMO, is the most important thing you'll want to do. You'll want to make sure that your contacts/threads are clean, and that you're staying within the amp limits of your battery.......

This is absolutely the most important thing when dealing with ANY battery.

I maintain large three phase UPS systems in the 50 to 75 Kva range, they hold entire data centers up while generators come online, synchronize, and take the load. Over discharge and time are the most typical causes of battery failure, over current is the most common cause of catastrophic failure. In fact, I have never saw a battery vent and explode any other way, I am sure it can happen because of manufacturing defects and such, but if you exceed the current limit of any battery, regardless of types, they can and do explode. Over drawing of current causes the battery to enter what is called "thermal run away". Basically the battery gets hot due to the over current situation and shorts internally, the result is not pretty and usually result in the failure of the entire battery bank.

Solid advice jpcwon is giving you.

Thank you. A good, safe charging setup is mandatory I understand.

Thanks. How would you build coils in general?
Building few in row with desired characteristics, and checking them should help initially I guess.

I build them by winding them around a jewlers screwdriver of various sizes. Ranging in size 1.4 mm 2.0 mm and 3.0 mm. Now the length of wire determines the ohms and the size of the coil circumference determines what is can fit into. Example: a 3 ohm coil wrapped on a 1.4mm screwdriver will not fit inside most RBA's but on a 3mm Screwdriver it will only be about ten wraps which will fit.

I hopes that helps.

I wouldn't recommend a 4nine for a beginner, hybrid mode is for more experienced users. I love this setup, stingray-x clone and kayfun light plus (with short nano kit) from fasttech. It has copper inner tube for great conductivity and stainless steel outer liner so you don't get smelly hands.
Speaking of 4nine mine just shipped today

I'm actually waiting for one of those astro's, it shipped over a month ago now, gotta love fasttech lol. The difference is just that most atomizers wont be flush on the sides, most are 22mm. There are some 23mm ones like the Taifun Gt for example.

:) Yes. I ordered some e liq last month and yet to receive it
