Is there a trick to separating the deck and tank of the Nahaulon?

I had been putting an appropriate sized screwdriver through each hole in the deck and turning, but the past couple weeks it's been stuck on there. Anyone have some pointers for me?

Mine gets a little stuck from time to time... i use vice grips.

I've ruined plenty of MUCH MUCH cheaper gear with pliers/vicegrips. I'm not about to take them to my Nahaulon lol.

I duct taped neoprene pieces into the jaws to prevent scratching. Works great.
