Is there a way to tell 3.7v from 5v by looking?

Hey all,
We are going to have a few 5v and 3.7v GLVs in the house soon, and I was wondering if there is a way, BY LOOKING, if you can tell the difference in the headcaps?
I looked at hubby's 5v, and saw that black "capsule" thing up in the headcap ..... does the 3.7v have that? I may have to mark them somehow so they don't get mixed up......

Absolutely.......the 3.7 (mini) does not have what you call a "capsule". If you put that 3.7 head on the long tube it is a 6V (with 2 3.0 batts) or 7.4 with 2/ 3.7 batts. Hope this helps.

I ordered a GLV2 with a 5v head and an extra 3.7v head ...... they go on the same body don't they? I don't want 6V ....

you sure can tell by like that person said the 5 volt head will have the mini capsule looking thing

I spoke to Sara since I wasn't sure about the heads - I wanted a 3.7v head to swap with the 5v head on the GLV2 body, so I am getting a "resisted" 3.7v head. They'll both have a "bean" I guess, so hopefully one will come with a stickie as to which is which ......

So your going to stack batts in a 5v tube and get 3,7? The 3.7v Mini tube is about half as short and uses only 1 battery.I didnt know you could stack and still get 3.7,I thought it would be 6v or 7.4v.

No, I'm not saying this right, sorry ..... I got a 5v GLV2, and asked to get an extra 3.7v GLV2 head ..... I won't use the 3.7v Mini head on it.
Sara said the GLV2's 3.7v head is resisted also ..... man, I hope I did this right.

Bluswatch, I did the same thing when I ordered my GLV3, I got it 5volt and added an unresistored headcap also to do 3.7 for my favorite atty. If you're gonna use the 3.7 headcap on the fullsize tube, just pick up a dummy cell RCR123, so you're only using the 3.7 battery power. It works like a champ, hope this helps

Thanks tat, but I got a "resisted" 3.7v so I can still use the 2 batteries. On the GLV2 drop-down, you can choose 3.7v resisted, so then it's just a head change..... and twice the battery time?
