With the balls to produce an e-cig with the intention of satisfying the FDA?

With the technology to produce an e-cig that lasts all day, or is low maintenance?

With the technology to produce an e-cig that really does all the stuff the import mfg's claim?

The time is now for a US company to step up to the plate, and get us what we want.:thumb:

What say you?

What about patent issues? Could they come into play? Is it true that the first atomizer was an ultrasound model, and patented so that the Chinese imitators had to devise the present, different method of atomization?

Hungry minds want to know.

I like your website Uncle!!!! sweet name!

The chinese invented all this stuff and that ultrasonic atomizer has yet to be seen

Although, there was a post from Wonder on this a few months ago ... Although my memory is quite cloudy ... I think he showed the differences between Ruyan's atomizer and the atomizers we know of today ... I don't feel like hitting the search feature though! lol ... It may not even be in reference to ultrasonic, but the coil ?? or something like that ...

Hmm. This is from Wikipedia:

"The first design for an electronic cigarette was developed in China by Hon Lik of Ruyan, and specified the use of ultrasonic technology. That patent is currently pending worldwide."

What I meant to suggest is that the current e-cig technology may patented, and not that easy to legally duplicate by American manufacturers.

From what I have been told, ruyan owns all the patents on these atomizers with the exception of the long totem type(2 pc design) and all the manufacturers just pay a licensing fee.

I have researched the Ruyan patents (atleast from what I can find) and the licensing on it is quite *vague* They left lots of room for changes/improvements/redesigns ...
